“I never have a problem here hardly ever if I do it's them forgetting to put something I ordered in the bag. Just like last night my daughter wanted a 4 piece chicken nugget. We had a big order, so when we got home and took everything out the chicken nuggets weren't in there she just cried. I was going to call them but It was so busy last night I wasn't going to do that to them. I worked in fast food, so I know.“

“Posted up at Parable Coffee to work on some personal projects on a Saturday for a few hours. First got a loose leaf black tea, and then later a sour beer they had on draft. Both were competitively priced. Loved the staff, and the ambiance is everything! Giving off the big city vibes I've been missing from my last city. I will say it was a surprise they had automatic gratuity, and it was a bit loud because it was busy. I just threw in airpods, and all was well. Next time I'll try a bite to eat. Would recommend simply to check out the interior design and music selection.“

“Accessibility Review: As a frequent coffee shop studier, I enjoyed my time getting work done at Gata Magica Cafe and Lounge. As I worked and evaluated the accessibility of the establishment, I noticed upon entering that the tables and chairs on the first floor level are placed tightly together which may be difficult to maneuver around with a wheelchair or walker, especially when the walkway areas are crowded with customers. The upper level is more spread out and spacious, however, it is only accessible by stairs.

As for sensory elements, this coffee shop had a very relaxing atmosphere with a quiet noise level besides the occasional coffee machine sounds and low level of chatter. The lighting was also very relaxed and dim without any fluorescent lighting which helps to create a less stimulating atmosphere for those with sensory sensitivities.

While the menu display itself did not have braille or text reading abilities for the blind or visually impaired, the baristas were very helpful and I’m sure would happily assist a customer by reading the menu aloud if needed. They could make this even more accessible to people with vision impairments by adding an electronic menu option that is screen reader compliant. The pay station was a touch screen tablet and did not have screen reading capabilities that I was aware of, so this may also be difficult for those who are blind or visually impaired to process their payment and pick a tip option independently.

The bathroom had a door with a code lock which may be difficult for individuals who have difficulty with fine motor skills. However, once in the bathroom, there is plenty of space for maneuverability with support railings around the toilet. The sink is at a low enough height to be accessed by wheelchair, however, the soap and paper towels are much higher and would be difficult to reach from a sitting position. The toilet is a manual flush, helping to reduce unexpected sensory input of a loud, unexpected flush.

Overall, I understand that there are limitations on building structures on High Street, but this accessibility is important to consider and for potential disabled customers to be aware of.“

“For the love of chocolate…and coffee!

This was our first time in this Winans location. We visited while on a road trip to Columbus. Lots going on downtown and while walking down the street we spotted this coffee shop. My daughters are huge coffee fans, and on top of that…chocolate!!!!

While only one person working, the place was extremely clean and she was very friendly. We had a little bit larger of an order and she took it completely in stride. We were able to rest our legs while waiting on the couch that was filled with plump, cushy pillows or the tables and chairs.

I did enjoy a sample while waiting and got to look around at different things they offered within the store.

The drinks were very good and we were very pleased with the service and the taste.

Even the restrooms had coffee themed wallpaper and were kept up nicely.

Will definitely return!

I love the fact there are soft chairs and a soft couch to sit on. With fibromyalgia,it's important I sit on soft furniture. Plenty of tables with chairs to sit to read, type on a laptop, have meetings, etc. The iced latte was delicious - I wished there were more gluten-free baked goods/meals. “My four year old son and I met my cousin here for a coffee date on a Tuesday at 10 a.m. There were only 2 red velvet cookies for sale and my son loved them, the other two were chocolate and he didn't like them, I took them home and the other kids didn't like them either. My son was def being a high energy boy that day and I felt relaxed and welcome even tho he was rearranging furniture and jumping around. There were other kids running around/crying, etc....so it's a good place to go with littles. My cousin mentioned that the gal who waited on her didn't smile or seem very friendly ....the gal who waited on me was very friendly tho and smiled and chatted....we bought our coffees separately, from different staff. My coffee ( almond joy) was really good and I thought the price was also really good. All in all it was a fine experience, didn't blow us away but wasn't bad at all either. I'll prob try them again ( it's half way between my cousin's house and mine) and see what we think about our second visit. Parking was easy, it's free street parking, in a cute, clean, old downtown looking part of town.“

“We were looking for a last minute cake for the 2 year old in our life. This bakery was recommended a while ago on a Facebook page so I thought we’d give it a try after looking at what they offered. The staff was amazing and made sure they asked if it was for a birthday. They put a chocolate ‘Happy Birthday’ candy on top and gave us candles, a cake cutter and matches. Really a thoughtful gift to help celebrate her birthday. She LOVED the chocolate cloud cake since it mixed her favorites both berries and chocolate. We can’t wait to go back and try the other yummy options.“

“My favorite place to decompress after work. I will take my book, have the greatest hot chocolate or matcha ever and be at peace. Staff is very kind and gentle, going on the contrary of a lot of places that have people that intimidate you while you are ordering for reasons like bad humor or just bad training. Here staff you look you in the eye, explain things if you are not very familiar and just be kind. I love the place. Several tables and sofas to seat and just enjoy, to work or study. Not to mention parking is pretty good! This is my to go place when I need time for myself.“

“The best donuts in a very long time!! I wish I got the name of the young lady helping us but she humored me when I asked about chop suey donuts. Growing up, they were my dad’s favorite. “I love the Chocolate Cafe. I have come here many times, most recently to surprise a friend for her birthday. I ordered a full size Lemon and Berry Marscarpone cake. She loved it!! I loved!
