My husband and I loved everything we had: the lemon chicken was tender and flavorful, the Alfredo cavatelli was creamy perfection, and the sausage and meatballs were just incredible. Honestly, I can’t even pick a favorite—they were all that good. The bread and butter? Probably the best we’ve ever had. The cozy, old-town vibe of the location just added to the charm, and the service was top-notch. You can really feel the care and warmth of a true mom-and-pop Italian place. “Really neat atmosphere! You have to walk around to take everything in (and be sure to look up). The food was all great & the kids flat bread pizza & grilled cheese were cooked perfectly (very important when you have picky kids). A hidden gem...literally, kinda hard to tell it's a restaurant from the road.“

If you plan on going to the establishment on a busy night you will need to make a reservation because their seating area is a little small but allows for a more romantic atmosphere. However my wife and I choose to go on a Sunday night which didn't require a reservation. 2. Their homemade dipping sauces for myself were a little plaid except for the one that was just extremely spicy.“

“It’s impossible to say how good it is there. The food is always top notch. Any item on the menu is executed with care and technical skill. The service is always fantastic. A neurologist friend took me here many years ago as a graduation celebration from nursing school. I’ve been coming back ever since, and I’ve never had a disappointment for a night or meal. The chicken shawarma is a standout, and the falafel wrap is elevated by perfectly pickled root veggies. It's a takeout place mostly, but don't let that put you off. She smiled the entire time we were there and spoke Spanish with the owner a mile a minute. She said it did her heart good and the food was truly Spanish. The service was spectacular! From the time I ordered it a week prior and working with Tina, to the delivery service being on time and the food hot and ready. Wonderful service! People were raving about the food, especially the fried chicken. We were a little bit past their delivery area, but they still delivered to us. “We had Old Carolina cater our wedding this last Saturday (2.24.24) at Lake Affect Studios in Cleveland, OH and we cannot thank the staff enough. We opted for a buffet option which worked out so well. We are still getting compliments on how delicious the food was. When we were thinking about food for our wedding, I knew I wanted a barbecue buffet! Once we saw they were on the preferred list of vendors for Lake Affect Studios it was a no brainer and we went with them as our first choice. We used to love eating at Old Carolina when they had a restaurant in Mentor, OH. Kelsey was so helpful in answering all of my questions leading up to wedding day, and assisting with the set up the day before. They did an amazing job keeping everyone fed and the staff was friendly and efficient. They let us take home left over food and we were able to enjoy the barbecue even after our big day. We get the same things all the time because they're delicious. I take my family and friends and everyone loves it!! I walk in and they usually know my order. Friendly service, clean, nice atmosphere, and very good food!! The owner does come around to make sure your satisfied with everything, which really was impressive to us. We dine in as well as carry-out and highly recommend this restaurant for excellent southern comfort food!!“
