Food is above average while being prepared well and fresh. The chicken wrap and chicken wings were tasty. Prices are reasonable for the area. Parking is a bit of a challenge with it all being street parking. Overall a good experience and worth trying out.“

I always said they were underappreciated by locals because it's hard to find wings this consistently great and affordable in most cities. “Was looking for restaurants that had jerk chicken, and gave Teranga a try. I ordered the Yassa yap and jerk chicken with greens. The presentation and temperature were good, the jerk chicken and the side of rice were extremely delicious! The chicken was soft and flavorful. The rice was regular white rice but so web cooked, I loved it. I was not a fan of the Yassa yap which is lamb because the meat was chewy and it was mostly fat rather than meat. Also, the greens were not that great because they were mooshy. Overall, it was good to give it a try, I will try their oxtails next time.“

“I'm torn between 3 and 4. gave 4 because i decided it was my ordering error that knocked it back to 3. when ordering for delivery, they give the option to have the wings/ tenders tossed in sauce or SOS. fearing soggy wings, I chose SOS. my bad. the breading is thick and fell off the wings ( which are quite large) when I tried to eat them. it was still pretty crunchy so definitely would advise getting them tossed in the sauce. Don't know why they even give the option for not tossing as it isn't very good that way. the waffle fries were good ( and plentiful). the dressing on the cukes was gloppy and heavy for my taste, had hoped for a light seasoned vinegar dressing to offset all the fried food. if I try them again, I would go for the tenders tossed in sauce.“

They have one of those new touchscreen soda machines, No Root beer . I am definitely coming back and bringing family. I would choose this place over five guys burgers if they were side by side. “This place is a hidden gem! No better place in the city to get soul food than Catherine's. I had the hot wings, which are not for the faint of heart (if you don't like spice, I would recommend just getting BBQ wings) I loved the spice on them and they were very juicy. The wings are made to order as well as a few other items on the menu, including their burgers. Catherine also told me she didn't have the normal fries that she would use, so she CUT A POTATO and made fries from scratch! Talk about above and beyond!
