Small City Taphouse completely blew us away. The space is massive — high ceilings, big open layout, really cool atmosphere that feels lively without being overwhelming. The kind of place you just want to hang out in.
The tap list is excellent with so many great beers to choose from, and the fun names make it even more enjoyable to browse. But the food is what truly set this place apart — specifically the noodles. Hands down some of the best I’ve ever had. Rich, flavorful, and absolutely satisfying.
As a vegetarian, I was so happy with the options available — nothing felt like an afterthought, and we left completely satisfied both times. Yes, both times — we loved it so much we came back the same day for round two.
If you’re in Sandusky, don’t skip this place. It’s a genuine gem.“

“We loved all the food we ordered! The beef and shrimps were so tender! They were super yummy and plenty enough for almost two meals if you don’t eat a lot. They were served with containers and very convenient to carry home if you don’t finish at a time. My kids could not stop eating the crab Rangoon. They finished all their chicken fried rice and wanted to ask for more. My mom really liked the sour and spicy soup and even made her own version of wonton soup with adding some sour and spicy soup inside. At the end, they even sang us a song for giving tips! What a wonderful experience there!
