“City Barbecue prepared the food for our first annual Gary Burr Memorial Fund on August 12,2023. Everyone commented on how good the food tasted. Devon was great to work with and delivered on everything she promised. I would not hesitate to use them again.“

“The food was amazing again tonight. This is the second time since they've opened I've been and it got even better. What great food, great staff, and great atmosphere. I have a special place in my heart for Korean BBQ and this is among the best I've ever had. If you've never tried it, trust the wait staff to point you to the best stuff on the menu. “It was my first time having a hot pot. The associate who greeted us was great! She explained everything very detailed. The food and broth were delicious and fresh. However, our actual attendee for our table made us feel rushed. Very short, when we asked questions and almost downright rude to a point. I would definitely go back to see if I could pick a different attendee for my table. The restaurant itself was great!“

“This my weekly place as I go either with my wife or other friends, The only reason Im giving 4 stars cause sometimes we have to return the medium cooked steak to be cooked as we ordered “well done”. One time we returned it, they put it on fire for too long and came back super dry.
Other than that, the waiters are very friendly and check on us few times, prices as expected to be and portion is very good.

“Stopped here because they were fundraising for camp Ho Mita Koda and we are so glad we did! The food was absolutely delicious. There was something on the menu for everyone and they had great options for the kids. We were pleasantly surprised when the check came too. It wasn’t nearly as expensive as we thought it would be. “Finally made our first trip to Oak and Ember on a Friday evening. We made reservations, so we were promptly seated; oddly, the restaurant was only about half full. We had the burnt ends and cheese curds to start. Cheese curds were pretty standard, but the ends were fantastic - some crispy, some a little fatty, all covered in BBQ sauce.

Main courses were brisket and pull pork; again, both cooked perfectly. Prices were a little high, but portions were very large. Drink prices were also on the high side (4 cocktails came to $64). They have a HUGE bourbon list with different flight options if that is your thing. Wait staff was not very attentive, but not rude as some other reviews have stated. Plenty of menu options (looking forward to trying the meatloaf!), so we will be back.“

“Oak & Embers Tavern is absolutely fantastic! From the moment we walked in, the inviting atmosphere made us feel right at home. The menu is a barbecue lover's dream, and everything we tried was outstanding.

The smoked brisket was the highlight—perfectly tender and bursting with flavor. The pulled pork was equally impressive, with just the right amount of smoky goodness. And don’t even get me started on the sides! The mac and cheese was creamy and delicious, and the smoked jalapeño cornbread was a delightful surprise.

“Very nice place inside the Arcade. Our breakfast was wonderful! We were celebrating our 40th anniversary and we mentioned this to our waitress Lillian. Before we left, she came back with goody bag with caramel corn, chocolates and battled water in honor of our anniversary and a sweet note wishing us many more. She made our day! Thank you, Lillian!“
