“Definitely a nice quiet dark dive bar. Table was a little sticky. Waitress was sincerely kind and friendly. They were out of wings the night we came, on a Wednesday. Had a burger instead. The hamburger bun was grilled nicely and everything tasted really good. Good music and friendly patrons. You get the feeling that the bar is a little understaffed. Like everything else these days. But it's not having items on the menu is not acceptable to me. Especially wings. I know they're hard to get and they're expensive. But you are charging more than $15 for a dozen. You should have them. I'm giving four stars because the Lady bartender was very kind and the food was pretty good. Husbands "specialty" fries were a bit on the greasy side.“

“I would compare to like Applebee's or TgiFriday, restaurants like that. Decent food. A lot of gnats that I suspect are coming from the bar. The booths are not comfortable. The seats in the booth could use an update. They are lumpy and old.“

“Service is on point as soon as you walk in. Beers are ice cold and the mixed drinks will not disappoint. That food though....that is where it's at! Every meal is hot, fresh and garnished to perfection. You can not go wrong at JT's Pregame!!“

“Never had a bad thing from Chuggers. The only downside, on some nights service can be rough, but that's expected. And some of the pool league people are douchebags, in my experience. That's my biggest issue with "atmosphere". But during sporting events everyone is amazing!“

“I walk a half mile twice a week just to eat the gyro and play pool at this bar either in the morning or at night it's always a great atmosphere with chill accepting people, 9/10 pool table and 11/10 bartenders, Amy is our favorite and always helps us out with anything we need.“

“It has been a long time since I have been in this bar. Pool leage brought us here. Wow!! Who ever cleaned this place up,you did a knock out job. Congrats to all involved. An a very well kept pool table. I remember a day when you have to beat your way out of this place. Not anymore. This is a very well run bar. Very clean. I would definitely return. Would not mind making it my hang out spot. But it's on the other side of town. That is the only reason I have not been back yet. Good place to take a date,or just hanging out with the work crew. “Traveling through with my husband and 2 kids ages 5 and 8. Our waitress was attentive and kind. Food was fresh and yummy! The best part was the value of the kids meals. They were listed as "mini burgers" but they were full size burgers with a generous portion of fries! Plus, all kids meals include a drink, dessert, and toy! They both got ice cream cake and got to pick a toy from the treasure chest. If we lived locally, we would stop in often. Great spot!“

“A neighborhood staple. We keep coming for the inexpensive, but tasty dinners and decent beer on draught. The staff is super friendly and it just seems like everyone there knows each other. Nothing fancy, but definitely comforting.Kid-friendliness: Don’t bring your kids here, please. This is not for them.“

“We took a day trip to Akron for a festival and stopped into this bar while exploring the town. This bar was huge, clean, and beautiful! Our bartender was so sweet and answered all our questions! You can't beat their happy hour prices as well! I got the house cab and it was phenomenal! If I lived in the area, I would come all the time!“

“We were in town for a concert and decided to stop by Ray's for a late lunch/early dinner. Ray's is a super casual townie bar. Service was quick and friendly. They offer a good variety of local beer options as well as old standards. My husband ordered the cheeseburger and onions rings. They were great, he said the burger tasted fresh off the bbq! I ordered the poutine fries - the serving is more than enough to share with a group and oh was it good. The meat was smoky and delicious and the fries were crisp- so good. We would definitely recommend Ray's and return if we're in town!“

“AUTHENTIC/DELICIOUS!!! My husband and I have traveled in Burma/Myanmar, Thailand and many places in SE Asia - and we were very impressed with the quality of the food and the portions at Leyh Thai Restaurant. The decor is also very pleasant and would be ideal for a quiet romantic meal or larger gatherings (birthdays, etc.). We had lunch there recently for my husband's birthday and noticed there were few customers. They do a larger take-out business, but I'm writing this review in hopes that folks in the Akron/Cuyahoga Falls/Tallmage/Kent/Fairlawn area will consider enjoying a meal there in person for lunch and/or dinner. “I've been on the patron side of bars going on 4 decades in 50 states. I have to give this bar credit where credit is due. Of all the bars in Akron, this one is the cleanest and classiest by far. Of course I could find some things that they could improve upon. No bar is perfect. But this one comes close. Cleanest restrooms, friendly staff, prices are decent. They doing it right. Upscale slightly older crowd. Highly recommend.“

“I’ll tell you what. The young lady Naja that was our server was Great to us. My wife is Gluten free and she initially thought “oh boy what I’m a going to eat”. Naja referenced cauliflower crust pizza and the Impossible burger. The burger my wife ate was fantastic. The boom boom shrimp, wings and the PIZZA were delicious. The atmosphere with sports playing on big screens and the cleanliness of the place make this a home run for eating out! Thank you“

“This is one of my favorite local haunts. Bummed that this past weekend they were out of some appetizers but we love Carol and Susie who are amazing bartenders and the Pepper Jack Chicken Soup is one of our favorites! Can never go wrong with our oakies and a few drinks.My only complaint was that our potato skins and fries were soaked in grease.“

“After driving past this dining gem on S Main for years, wondering if we'd enjoy the place, we stopped in this past Saturday at around 4PM to get a late afternoon meal. We were seated almost immediately in a spotless booth with soft lighting, provided menus with an endless array of offerings, and asked for our beverage order. Suffice it to say we were impressed by the immediate service given to us by Felicia, and her ability to make us feel welcomed! The bleucheese burger we shared was perfect, French fries were very hot and crispy, and the house salad was accompanied by two house-made dressings, a creamy white French and a balsamic...both were outstanding, and the servings were enough to provide dipping sauces for the fries. We believe we have found the neighborhood tavern we've been seeking since moving to Akron in 2018! Sure, the burger prices were a bit high, but in keeping with the disastrous economic times. Super neighborhood spot for dining, libations, and tv viewing. And the friendly staff is the icing on the cake, actually on the incredibly sinfully deeelicious bread pudding!“

“This bar and grill had decent food for exceptional pricing.Tuesday Tacos are $1, and they are hard or soft and better than Taco Bell. 3 stars, so it is okay, but 5 star price.I also tried the pulled pork sandwich and Mac and cheese side..4.99 stars. It is on a toasted bun with perfect meat placement. Maybe I should give it 5 stars.I am not from the immediate area, but the patrons and staff were friendly the few times I have been here.“

“We went to this place at 7am on a whim to get steaks and they were awesome! The lady who served us was really sweet, the cook came out with my eggs and she was really sweet too, and the food was great. Definitely will visit again when we need 7am steaks!! Lol“

“It might be a conflict of interest for me to even rate this place because I was there in the beginning when the place opened its doors. It regardless I have to say that I enjoyed the food enough that I came an hour early each day that I worked so I could get a chance to order their food to eat before my shift started on those days. If you get a chance, try their steak named the "Eli". It's a huge Strip steak that's worth the price! The last time I was in there they still had half price appetizers on Saturday. If they still have them I recommend the stuffed banana peppers because they're delicious.Parking: Since it is not possible to add more parking to the existing parking lot the owner has permission to allow for people to park in a parking lot across Market Street instead.“

“One of my favorite and first low-key bars I've enjoyed since I was younger. The only thing I could think that might count as a complaint, is that I wish there was more delicious food on the menu.
