“Just ordered for the first time today and we will be back.... OFTEN! My husband said the man behind the counter was very kind and had good vibes. We ordered a Brick, a plain cheese, a pepperoni and a white with the banana peppers and this is the best pizza we have had around here in a long time! The sauce is sweet and so flavorful. The Brick had the toppings layered in so even though there was a very generous portion of toppings, there wasn't a lot of fall out. There was enough cheese and sauce and the crust is crispy, not greasy but so soft inside. I want to share pics but unfortunately we were so excited to eat, I didn't get to take a pic of the pizzas before the family tore into it.“

The atmosphere, side conversations, and of course on the bartenders, MAGGIE, are absolutely something to experience. One app recommendation would be the hot pepper cheese balls! Also the pizza sauce is made with green peppers, so be prepared for flavor. This place is ALSO from 1945. So stop, love it, come back.“

We don’t order out much, as we enjoy cooking at home and also to save some money, but it was definitely a treat and worth every penny! “Decided to order a variety of items for the family on a Saturday. They do not deliver unless you order through Doordash. One of the items we wanted was a taco pizza. The taco pizza is not available on Doordash? Not sure what the reasoning for that is but it was an inconvenience as we did not want to go anywhere. Then I tried to order wings, and I was informed they do not have wings. So we had to order pizza from here and wings from elsewhere. Food was good and the service was fast. So aside from a few hiccups we still had a satisfying experience.“

“I previously rated Tangiers solely on their food, 5 stars. Serivice was barely a 1 star. Moving to Ohio from the Buffalo area, I had been searching for a solid wing joint. Tangiers has been my go-to for 10 years based on just that. Service has been terrible, but their wings always lived up to their hype. Recently, I've had interaction with their Kitchen Manager, Joel, amazing. The enthusiasm, the dedication, and his determination can really turn this restaurant into something amazing. The staff was super friend and even took the time to explain what the special for the day was, since it was a specialty item and I was not familiar with their products. I wound up trying the special and it was amazing! With the deal they had going on, it was about the same price as some if the cheaper quality pizza joints. But this quality was awesome, the pizza had garlic sauce and grated cheese so over the crust! Great deal, great food, and great people! I will definitely be stopping by again when I'm in that area.“

“I grew up in the 70’s and 80’s, and I have been searching for a pizza shop that tastes like the Ole Days. The ones who used to make their own pizza sauce, and the crust was so good, that it made you crave more. I was told about Westgate in Boardman, so I gave it a try today. From the time I walked in, to the time I left, the gals working were very friendly and polite, and was very helpful with suggestions of things I would like to try out. Everything on the menu looked amazing. I went with a pizza with pepperoni, and 6 BBQ wings. I suffered on the way home to Leetonia, windows mostly up due to a rainy day, so got plenty of the smells of the pizza and wings on the commute. Once home, I was finally able to dig into. Words can’t describe how good the food was. The pizza was delicious just like the Ole Days, from the crust to the topping of cheese and fresh pepperoni. The wings were just as delicious. The sauce of both were spot on. The cheese on the pizza wasn’t heavy nor light, a perfect balance between the crust and sauce. So if you’re looking for a great place for pizza, subs, and wings. I’ll say the hardest part about eating here is not taking a nap afterwards, small joke. Very filling and definitely worth the drive and price. Thank you for the great experience. My #1 go to pizza shop now.“

So..for those of you who have been disappointed recently by this established highly rated restaurant..perhaps a simple conversation could have rectified the situation instead of sullying their reputation. “I often dine solo so when I was seated it was at a table for 4. The atmosphere was bright and cheerful, with 1 TV on Game Show Network and the other on Keno. I started my meal with Italian fries and stuffed pepper soup. The stuffed pepper soup taste exactly like stuffed peppers and the Italian fries worst soft yet chewy. The star of the starter was the red sauce. From a main course I ordered chicken parm grilled. It came out in a very timely manner and was delicious. Service was fast friendly and quick. Although their main focus is on the Pizza and Bar, I would recommend this restaurant anyone passing through looking for a great Italian restaurant.“
