“Ok so we’ve dined at Old Scratch Troy location about 6 times since it’s opened. Waited a bit to give them time to really get in their groove. While I do recommend the place. Pizza is good, staff is nice (especially Amanda at the bar) and shareables are tasty. That said I would like to see the food’s taste be a little more consistent. My favorite dish is the fire roasted cauliflower but sadly it hasn’t been prepared the same way twice with the last two times it was barely seasoned at all once it was almost raw. Hopefully as training continues they will fix that issue.“

Our server tonight was Jamie, and she was damn near the best server I’ve ever had! Her recommendations were spot on, her hospitality was unmatched, and it was a wonderful experience.

“We had lunch on Saturday and as usual all of our meals were delicious! Our server Karugu was fantastic!! Friendly, efficient, quick to refill our drinks with a great smile! We started off with pretzel bites, hot and delicious! Started off with cups of gumbo, perfect on a cold rainy day! Great soup loaded with shrimp, chicken and sausage. Then the 4 of us had deluxe pizza, a tuna melt, chicken quesadilla and the Italian sub. Everything was great. The pizza crust was crispy and light. Perfect!“

“Small place, perfect taste! Best beer in Dayton. Spectral Alphabet is the best IPA I've ever had. I stop in occasionally to get a four pack and the staff is always so nice and laid back. Bar area is small, but that's what I love about it. I can't stand the cold, dark, dingy, loud and overcrowed warehouse vibe most breweries throw at you. B&B is different, it's warm, clean, chill, and the beer is the best. Come here and appreciate it yourself.“

“We had our first visit to El Meson and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The entire restaurant is beautifully decorated and you can truly feel the culture and care that went into creating such a warm atmosphere. The moment we walked in, we felt welcomed. Our waitress, Stasha (I apologize if I spelled her name wrong), was absolutely wonderful. She clearly knows her job very well. From the moment she came to our table, she made an instant connection with us and was incredibly kind and attentive. She even took time to talk with the kids, brought them toys, and surprised our son with birthday ice cream, which was such a thoughtful touch. She also knew a lot about the menu and the events they host on certain days and made several recommendations — and she was absolutely right about all of them. The food was incredible: flavorful, authentic, and beautifully prepared. Everything we tried was spot on. “Hidden Gem 💎💎💎 Food is always delicious and fresh every time! Very affordable and the portions are large! Service is always A++! Love all the windows here but I always prefer to go. Be careful with to go, the bourbon sauce will spill out of the box into the saran wrap they put around it. Ask for your sauce on the side to avoid the mess. They always make sure you get exactly what you want and go the extra mile! I've become a regular here very quickly. I live in the neighborhood and I'm very grateful there is a place affordable with great food that me and kids can enjoy! Love this place!“

“Love this place! It’s been here since I was a little girl although then it was called The Red Barn. The food is great and always fresh, I consider it down home cooking, I believe they take pride in cooking unlike fast food restaurants. The prices are always at a good price. I have never been disappointed. Now the only drawback is the drive thru window takes about a good 20 minutes at the fastest so prepare to wait but it’s worth it!“

This is the old school American-Chinese place you want it to be with the classic dishes: sweet and sour and hot mustard containers (not packets) presented with the appetizers, a hot and sour soup so much better than any in the area, and an extremely friendly staff. If I had a negative, it’s the fried rice, it just felt a little flat compared to everything else… but mixed with the chicken and sauce was still delicious. I don’t live close by but will find reasons to visit here.“
