“Stopped into The Wine Bistro while in town for business. This place came recommended by the hotel I was staying at and since it was only a couple blocks away (walking), I decided to go! I sat at the bar and talked with the bartenders - they were very friendly and great at recommending wines to try. The food was great too! I had the cheese plate with my wine and then an altered version of the chicken breast dish for dinner. I have dietary restrictions and the bartender was fabulous at helping me to customize my dinner to meet my needs! I had a lovely time, and only wish that I would have taken a glass of wine outside on the patio to enjoy more of the atmosphere outside. If I am ever in this part of town again, I will stop back for sure!“

“I took my 22-year-old son to the meadery for his birthday. Not only did we get special tastings we got the history and knowledge of how this small business came to be. Our bartender was incredibly knowledgeable, had a very inviting personality and to top it all off he makes amazing mead!!! Be careful everyone it's got more alcohol content than I'm used to and it's crap up on me pretty quick LOL!!!!“

Emma made my drink and the nuance of flavors was so mind-boggling that the sweetness on the back end was almost impossible to place. The crispness and cleanness of the drink and the way it was muddled together were so beautifully blended. It was my absolute favorite place in all of Columbus.“

“I really wanted to love Gene's, as I have heard wonderful things, but we were very underwhelmed with the food.
The Crudo small plate was mediocre at best and very fishy (although it was beautifully plated!). The Asparagus was delicious, but not $27 delicious. The Ricotta cavatelli was ok. The Pork was yummy. The Quesillo (Venezuelan flan) was just... meh.
The service from all staff and the atmosphere were absolutely A+. (Ellie (sp) was amazing!)
I will go back to give it another shot, but for the price it's a tough sell...“

Exactly what you want in a neighborhood brewery—a perfect variety of drinkable, staple brews that suit all tastes. On a hot summer evening though, I would’ve loved to see a frosted glass option—the beer warmed up a little too fast for my liking. We ordered the giant pretzel, which definitely delivered on size! The beer cheese was decent, but we were hoping for a bit more creativity or a “mystery dip” option to spice it up. Also… just give us one good cup of cheese with it instead of making everyone upgrade for a second portion. Small thing, but it stood out. As the sun set, the whole place started to feel like something out of a movie. Couples celebrating engagements, friends laughing over cornhole in the corner, and a casual, easy energy. The only thing missing? Some live music, especially for a Saturday night. 🎶 We found ourselves lost in conversation… time honestly stood still. It felt both lively and private, which is a rare combo these days. If I had one other piece of feedback, it’d be for a slightly bigger food menu and maybe a kiddo cut-off time around 7 PM, just so the evening crowd can fully settle into adult mode. This hidden gem in the German Village Community of Columbus is hands down the best experience I have had at any of his restraunts.

The Arugula Salad was put together with flavors that complimented each other perfectly.
HOWEVER, by far, the Gnocci Filet Tomato dish was by far the best in 48yrs of being alive... the best steak!
I mean it was to the point you couldnt eat quick enough or wait long enough to get the next.

In 48yrs that has never happened before!! Stunned.

Thinking it was over until Mairren, convinced me to try the desert.. she has already had me try the new drink that she created, a whiskey (that's my go to) spin off of an old fashioned that was spicy. Liked it, but not a spicy booze guy.

I went with a new the Chocolate dessert, I don't usually do dessert so I can't comment on it, but leading is to say it was good. Not too rich and overpowering.

Between the Service from Mairren Exceptional...and the two best dishes I think I've had maybe ever let alone at a KM restraunt.. make this the best flaovered steak and salad combo , I've ever experienced.

Extremely tasty with the right balance of crumbles and b’fflo sauce. Great w/seasoned fries or house chips. Make sure to have a pint of the Kroenburg 1664 pints to wash it down. “My husband and I recently visited Dos Hermanos (in Easton) for our weekly date night, and let me tell you, it was hands down the best Mexican food I’ve had in a long, long time. After living in Columbus for over 3 years (and searching high & low), I had come to the sad conclusion that there were no good authentic Mexican restaurants in thus city — that was, until I stepped foot into Dos Hermanos. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with hot chips and fresh, flavorful salsa that set the tone for the rest of our meal. The menu features a wide range of authentic Mexican dishes at reasonable prices. My husband and I tried the queso blanco, street tacos, Birria tacos, and churros. Each dish was flavourful, hot, and super fresh. My personal favorite were the Birria tacos — every bite was packed with the right balance of spices and tenderness. I am very picky when it comes to restaurants, especially Mexican, and let me tell you; if you like flavor (not just salt…), this is the place for you! The food wasn’t all that impressed us — the wait staff was equally fantastic. Our waitress, Megan, was an absolute superstar. She was attentive, friendly, and made our experience very enjoyable. The restaurant was clean, and well staffed— a true hidden gem. After our first visit, we couldn’t resist going back again (only 2 weeks later), and I’m happy to report that the experience was just as perfect as before.
