The outside needs restoration and painted but so much history. Definitely recommend this venue if you are looking for a very cool venue & a historical site in Youngstown.“

“I wasn’t planning on spending several hours at The Federal tonight, but life had other ideas.
I had just gotten out of a difficult situation, was waiting for an overnight bus, and my phone was almost dead. Justin, the manager, didn’t know me from Adam, but he handed me a charger and gave me a place to sit and recharge—both my phone and myself.
Over the next few hours I watched this place go from quiet to absolutely packed. The staff kept things moving, the atmosphere was welcoming, and everyone seemed to be having a great time.
It’s easy to judge a business by the food or drinks. I judge places by how they treat people, especially when they don’t have to. Justin and his team showed genuine kindness without expecting anything in return.
If you’re looking for a place with great energy, good people, and management that genuinely cares, The Federal has earned my recommendation. Thank you for helping a stranger on a day I’ll never forget!“

“We love Papa GeGe’s and the staff AND the food. The food is AMAZING. We love that it’s a BYOB. I think the veal Parmesan is the best I have ever had. I ordered it twice. The soup is amazing. We really enjoyed the cannoli. Beast Italian food around, hands down!!!“

“Hello! Stopped by because of the retro advertising of favorites being brought back. Short wait to get to get to the counter to order. The staff was awesome - both taking and filling the order. Clean dining area with plenty of seating. Whether your visit is planned or spur-of-the-moment, you’ll find this location a great place to eat - stop in!“

“Cute little coffee shop with great coffee and food. It has a nice feel good vibe and Cindy and Gary very friendly. Prices are ridiculously inexpensive. I enjoy stopping in when I’m in the area.“
