“Food is always fresh and hot. Service is excellent. My husband and I love to eat here. Only complaint is today a lady had lap dog in her arms. NOT a service dog. She carried it by our table several times while we were eating. I'd love to see no dogs “

For appetizers we had Crab Rangoon & Fried Dumplings, i wasn’t able to try the dumplings but based on how my dad was humming to himself i would say they were pleased with them. The Rangoons were DELICIOUS! I loved them so much the only complaint i have was i ate them too fast. For my entree i did a bowl of egg drop soup and a portion of the honey chicken. the egg drop soup was very home-y and delicious! exactly what i was wanting from it. My parents thought it needed salt but personally i thought it was perfect as is. The honey chicken is genuinely the best honey chicken i’ve had in oklahoma, the outside layer is super crispy and crunchy despite the honey glaze that goes on it. it’s almost like it’s candied. The chicken is nice and tender and the flavor is superb. Definitely would recommend trying this place out!! The servers are very friendly and the food is amazing!!“
“I mean come on, this place is unbelievably delicious.We stay on a pretty restricted diet which means we normally don't go out much but it also means when we do, it's easily to be disappointed with a lot new places. Which is also why normally why we stick to our favorites.However, my wife was in a mood for egg drop soup and I did some researching and trusted someone who said this place has the best egg drop he's ever had... Well, I agree and the best hot sour soup I've ever had and that is a bold statement for me to say. Matter fact, I bought more to go. The crab cheese wonton was light, crispy and delicious. We also had beef flat noodle, my said it was the best noodle dish she's ever had, period. We also got the gigi special and kung pao chicken american style which both were very good. I don't write a lot reviews but this place was worth it. The waitress was sweet and attentive. The food comes out as right when it's done. “I lived in China for 15 years and the only authentic Chinese restaurant I know of in Tulsa is Mandarin Taste. They have actual Chinese cooks cooking the dishes from raw ingredients just like in China. I know it costs a little more and takes little longer but it is worth the cost/wait since you are getting real thing and NOT frozen entrees warmed up in the microwave. My server was bilingual and let me practice my bu hao putonghua. MT is a precious cross cultural experience worth traveling to visit. Now, shrinking portions. This inflation is killing everyone!Entering the restaurant. With an expressionless face, the waitress directed us to sit where we like. There was no wasted effort on a smile or a greeting. Chinese chips and salsa came to the table. The waitress impatiently waited for our response to her “what do you want to drink?” Returning quickly with the drinks, her deadpan face solicited our food order. I had barely completed verbalizing my order and she was gone, returning hurriedly to the kitchen before I was able to request an order of egg rolls. I flagged her back and got the order in. I’m glad I did!! Like a mask her, facial expression never varied at each interaction. My efforts to try to get her to reflect a smile was wasted. The service was adequate.The egg rolls were delivered. The first bite was delicious. It is unusual to describe an egg roll as light. They seemed light. Not fat, heavy, greasy, fried eggrolls. The filling was seasoned, lightly; just enough to tame to cabbage flavor, but not hide it. A light crispy fried wrapper took good to excellent!My wife’s meal came with soup. She ordered the Hot and Sour. Great flavor. Noticeably absent were mushrooms, tofu, or chicken; the ingredients usually found in a fully loaded Hot and Sour soup. A couple of bamboo slivers and egg. That was it!Our food arrived. I delayed the dining a minute to capture a picture. Completed, lunch resumed, and my wife was just about to stick a chunk of chicken when the waitress reappeared. She hastily grabbed the plate. Without expression explained she had delivered the wrong meal. No chicken was missing from someone else’s order!Cautiously adhering to Americanized versions of Chinese food, my wife ordered General Tso’s. The first plate mistakenly delivered to her was Sesame Chicken. I got a picture! I went with the Hot Garlic Chicken. Check the pictures and the menu for details of each. Here is what stood out on both meals. First, white meat chicken. No mysterious knuckles of chicken meat. Then the sauces. Slightly sweet, but not overly sticky, syrupy sauces. VERY POSSIBLE. There's not much in Broken Arrow. I can tell you the hot and sour soup and the triple crown in garlic sauce were both delicious. This location also has semi table service as well although most people get their food to go. Otherwise, they may not be able to handle the workload. It was more busy than some of the Chinese restaurants in Tulsa. Years ago I gave No 2 Kitchen in Tulsa a 4 stars so I have no choice but to give No 1 Kitchen a 5 stars. Why not? However, the portions are fresh, delicious, & filling.Vegetarian options: Sautéed vegetables egg drop soup (if you’re okay with dairy, some are not) and/or the “Buddhist Delight” that has vegetables with tofu. If you want crunchy tofu instead of fried chicken, fried tofu is a good or better substitute. Healthier protein that gives the crunchiness to satisfy. Korea calls it “Temple Tofu”. ?“

“We've ordered from China 1 a few times now through DoorDash, and we've had consistently good food. The rice, whether white or fried, is always delicious! A lot of restaurants serve overly dry or overly wet rice, but China 1's rice is always aromatic and delicious. It is, dare I say, the perfect rice! It smells and tastes just like the rice my childhood friend's aunties used to make in their bamboo basket. :) My husband loved the Hunan Chicken so much he wanted to immediately order it again! It was under 30 minutes 'til closing, though, so we didn't do it. He's very much looking forward to trying it again soon.
