“Only bar in town, but no need for another one. Drinks are cheap, and the bartenders and beautiful and always up for conversation or a game of pool. Never feel out of place or uncomfortable. Just a laid back, friendly little hole in the wall. My only complaint is that it's cash only and no atm, but I now now to come with cash every time.”

The only observation and it makes me proud is that we were the only Hispanics and our Anglo friends were enjoying themselves at the bar and the neighboring tables were full of them enjoying the Hispanic delicacies. “The war pig taco was the star of the show tonight. We also enjoyed the brisket taco! We felt the crispy chicken lacked something as a taco but we'd eat that fried chicken by itself all day long. Definitely kid approved. The pork belly was a little too fatty for me but it had a great flavor. We will pass on the corn and queso next time.”

I run a high volume food service business in Texas and would love to get this type of work and performance from my staff. The young lady that brought me my tea and a straw deserves a raise!!!!!! It is family ran and has been for 18 years!When you decide to visit, understand this, your food will not come out right away like in a nasty restaurant like olive garden! It will come out in a few minutes or more, but please remain in your seats and do not leave! The food you will be served is freshly made, it will come out hot and homemade! No, seriously, the pasta noodles and bread are all made by the family! It is open seating, but remember it is a smaller restaurant, so if your party is huge, a little advanced notice might be appreciated!Now, back to the food!?? (what I ate personally)Spaghetti and meat balls: This particular dish is something I stay weary of as a lot of spaghetti pasta sauce has mushrooms, but thankfully, at Roma's it is just a tomato sauce and it is AMAZING! I can't even explain the noodles, but I can tell you they were a 1000 times better than box noodles! Those meatballs ? bro! Just...??bro... not only were they larger than expected, but they were like a light punch of flavor that paired perfectly with the tomato sauce! All in all, for the spaghetti, I'd give it a solid 8.5 out of 10. The tomato sauce itself could have used more flavor, but I will most definitely be getting more spaghetti!!!Stuffed Shells: This particular meal should be illegal! It takes you on a journey, dude! Like in Ratatouille when he starts seeing every single ingredient, yea like that! It is just as good with every bite, and so far, my favorite pasta dish from any restaurant EVER! A solid 10 out of 10!Tiramisu: I am not a fan of tiramisu, as it is normally overly baring with sweetness. You can't appreciate the flavor of something when it is just way too sweet. However, I don't know what they're doing up there at Roma's, but that tiramisu was amazing! Was it sweet, sure, but a gentle sweet. I could actually focus on the other flavors in the tiramisu and enjoy all of them! Solid 9 out of 10 on that!Nutella Cheesecake: I used to love chocolate and still find myself wanting more than one should! Nutella just happens to be my favorite chocolate, so of course I had to try it & of course it was fantastic. This one, even though delicious, just wasn't it for me! It was just about perfect, but something wasn't there for me, and so I'm going to give this a 7 out of 10.(Things my husband ordered & I stole a bite)Shrimp Scampi: it was really good! I'm not much of a seafood in my pasta kinda person, but this was very good! 8 out of 10!Pizza: yall, did I mention IT IS FRESH MADE BREAD that includes the pizza dough! He got the mozzarella pizza with the pepperoni, and it makes Grimaldi's look bad bro!Staff amazingFood AMAZINGFresh every time?!? 100%authenticity 100%It deserves the starts!”

“Perfect!! Food: we tried a little bit of everything. The chicken had the right amount of kick and wasn’t overly spicy. Fries and shrimp had the best seasoning. The egg rolls were yummy alone, added a little duck sauce to them brought another amazing flavor. All of the sauces we tried were delicious. The fried rice was fantastic and a great serving. Service: Friendly and respectful. Service was with a smile and the staff was attentive. Atmosphere: Neighborly. This is the type of place where you can eat and feel relaxed, thankful you didn’t have to cook. You go enough and you feel like you’re hanging out at your friend’s house.”

The sweet lady running the counter gave us the "scoop" on how the ice cream is made, and how some of the flavors got their names...and she let us know the jukebox is free to play! The turkey was the standout for me, followed closely by the brisketwurst sandwich, but everything else I tried (pulled pork, sausage, brisket, and ribs) I’d readily get a second time. Be sure to ask for the hot gravy, especially if you get the turkey sandwich, and don’t get a side of beans without also getting the jalapeño cornbread muffins. Definitely worth stopping by for lunch, even if you’re just passing through town.”

“Having family in Denison, we regularly visit Kent's. Always great sized portions, lightning speed service, and really phenomenal tex mex. The carne asada was my most recent new order. Covered in grilled onions and bell peppers and the steak was cooked to perfection. Typically I order the Chicken Fried Steak, they have the top 3 best chicken fried steak in North Texas. Great size, nice thick cut ribeye inside, and a nice savory gravy.”
