“If you are late for breakfast, you're going to get a warmed-over biscuit. That's just the way it is. Life ain't aways fair. And we were very late for breakfast. 11:30 to be exact. The other diners we were going to try were closed. Without a plan "C" I searched for the closest, which was Corner Café. Still in the mood for breakfast and their menu said breakfast all day. Their Menu covers all things diner food, daily specials and pie. A true small-town diner usually has "Ham, Beans and Cornbread" as the day's special at least one day a week. That was today, along with the other options listed was meatloaf. I'm here for breakfast. 2 Eggs, 2 sausage patties, hashbrowns, biscuits and a big bowl of gravy was my choice. My wife went with the same except for bacon and toast. These big meals were a bargain, $7.99 ea. The hot breakfasts were on the table withing minutes. Eggs were cooked just right, sausage fair, excellent thick smoky bacon. The hashbrowns weren't crispy enough for me. The café served a generous bowl of gravy with my two leftover reheated biscuits. My fault. I shouldn't have been late for breakfast. But, I didn't say I didn't like them. Gravy fixes everything. 4.2 stars with 585 reviews on Google“

“My wife took me to this place, because she liked it and I'd never been. Ended up ordering the meatball sub, and she ordered the triple-decker huh and the food was pretty good. The fries were fresh and crispy, the meatball sub was good and we ended up getting a cinnamon roll to go. A nice homestyle “

“It has been several years since we have eaten at Captain D's but since we were back around Owasso we thought we would give it a try. My wife and I found the place clean and was greeted nicely by the lady behind the counter. Surprisingly the menu has changed very little. I ordered the Captains platter with a side order of fries and hush puppies. My wife had the senior special of fish, shrimp, fries and slaw for $5.99 with an additional five shrimp for $1.99 extra. We found the decor pretty much the same as it was 25 years ago. But it was clean, service was great. Our meals were brought to the table still hot. We sat and reminisced thinking of how little had change there but the food was still really good. Sometimes it's nice to find something that's still the same as you remember.“
