“We are visiting from Albuquerque, New Mexico. We had lunch with our daughter and granddaughter today. We had the classic sampler appetizer. It was amazing. Each of us ordered the delicious chicken fried steak with garlic mashed potatoes and ocre. All was exactly what we hoped for. Then we each ordered a different desert and sampled each: peach cobbler, blackberry cobbler, peanut butter pie and lemon meringue pie. Each was as good as expected. Our server was R Shawney. She was exceptional. Thank you La Donna’s for a great meal.“

I contacted the restaurant by Facebook on Easter Sunday to ask if would be possible to take some salsa and chips to take to a life-long friend who is in the hospital in Duncan, Okla. He grew up and lived many years in Meeker, and was a devoted customer of Abuelita Rosa, and loves their salsa. The staff agreed to prepare a special order that I picked up Monday before opening and took down to Duncan as a surprise. Not only did they have the salsa, but also queso, tortillas, chips. It was a great spread and really uplifted this whole family. This simply confirms my already high opinion of Abuelita Rosa!“

“Chilis is one of my favorite restaurant. Chips and salsa is/has been my favorite since the 70’s! We love the Shawnee Chilis! Only Chilis we go to. Some of the reason is because of one of the managers there..Jessica! She always makes sure we are happy with our food and service. Probably because she used to be a server and we always asked to be seated in her area. She really wants customers to be happy with their food and service. She takes her job seriously and wants your visit to be satisfying so that you will continue going back! And, we will!“

The manager (I believe her name was Shannon) was very welcoming when we came in and then later on checked on us during our meal to see how our food was. Great service, good food and it’s rare you find not one employee but 2 that made every effort to let our family have a good meal and took the time to add some true customer service!! “I don’t know why some of the reviews are so different from what I experienced here. Maybe new people took over, but the service was excellent, absolutely top-tier.

I was a little skeptical at first because it’s a buffet, and I thought the food might have been sitting there for a day or two. Not at all! The food was fresh, hot, and super good. Honestly, better than some home-cooked meals I’ve had.
