“We are visiting from Albuquerque, New Mexico. We had lunch with our daughter and granddaughter today. We had the classic sampler appetizer. It was amazing. Each of us ordered the delicious chicken fried steak with garlic mashed potatoes and ocre. All was exactly what we hoped for. Then we each ordered a different desert and sampled each: peach cobbler, blackberry cobbler, peanut butter pie and lemon meringue pie. Each was as good as expected. Our server was R Shawney. She was exceptional. Thank you La Donna’s for a great meal.“

He grew up and lived many years in Meeker, and was a devoted customer of Abuelita Rosa, and loves their salsa. The staff agreed to prepare a special order that I picked up Monday before opening and took down to Duncan as a surprise. Not only did they have the salsa, but also queso, tortillas, chips. It was a great spread and really uplifted this whole family. This simply confirms my already high opinion of Abuelita Rosa!“

After almost a year of living in Shawnee, I’ve eaten at nearly every restaurant in town. When I go out to eat, I have high expectations—food taste, proper temperature, and most of all, service.

About a year ago, I sat down at the bar at Chili’s and was immediately greeted with a friendly smile and a handshake.

“Hello, my name is Brian, and I’m going to take good care of you tonight.”

Magical words for someone who eats out frequently and rarely experiences true customer service.

A couple of nights ago, I returned looking for my favorite bartender, Brian, but he wasn’t working the bar that evening. Instead, he professionally introduced me to what he jokingly called “Brian 2.0.” Turns out her name wasn’t Brian 2.0 at all—her name is Kaylee (shocker!).

And let me tell you—he did not steer me wrong.

My wife and I had an absolute blast. Great conversation, glasses always full, food served hot, and everything we needed to unwind after a long workday. It was one of those experiences that reminds you why you enjoy going out to eat.

There are plenty of great Chili’s locations across Oklahoma with solid staff—but do yourself a favor:
Exit I-40 at mile marker 185 and stop at the Shawnee Chili’s.

Sit at the bar and look for Brian and/or Kaylee—this dynamic duo delivers top-notch service every time.

Tell them Bill sent you, and enjoy being treated like family.“

“Walked in and told we had an hour wait. Okay, thats fine. We run to Walmart next door and get notified we have a table...9 minutes after we checked in. We sit down and waited about 15 minutes for our waitress to stop talking to a table she clearly knew to take our drink order. Had to ask for biscuits, twice. Son ordered a Pepsi but was given a Stary. Ordered calamari but we weren't told they were out of it until minutes before we got our food. Our food was good though.“

“I don’t understand the bad reviews for them, saying that they are rude because the guy who greeted me and who I also spoke to on the phone was very nice and very welcoming. I am a truck driver and I did a 34 hour reset here and yes, there is plenty of truck parking and they offer a buffet an Indian buffet from 9 AM to 5 PM And let me tell you it was very good, especially for it being a buffet very flavorful. Everything was really fresh overall very good experience and I definitely will be stopping here more often when I pass by to enjoy the food even when the buffet is not offered.. Again The restrooms were very clean. The whole place was very clean. I literally have zero complaints. Definitely stopped here if you are passing by in a car or even better as a truck driver. Again, there is plenty of parking and definitely beats having to park at a pilot or a loves, which is always packed. I guarantee you will have parking anytime of the night like I said I stayed for a 34 and both nights there was plenty of parking. Thank you to the staff for being very friendly and most definitely welcoming. I regret not getting the name of the guy who greeted me, but he is young with the gold glasses and gold earrings. He greets everyone that walks in and shows a lot of love. It’s places like that that will keep me coming back for sure.“
