“For twenty-four years, the Red Cup has been more than a coffee shop to me—it has been a second living room, a neighborhood commons, and occasionally a refuge from my own bad ideas. Tucked in off Classen Boulevard Oklahoma City, the Red Cup has mastered something that can't be faked: community.
The owner has cultivated a place where people are known, welcomed, and remembered. You don't just order coffee here; you become part of an ongoing conversation that has somehow been going on for decades.
The real secret, though, is the people. The patrons are not customers in the ordinary sense. Over the years, many of them have become friends, fellow travelers, and familiar faces whose presence is just as important as anything on the menu. The Red Cup is one of those rare places where belonging isn't marketed—it's practiced.
And then there's Beaver, the chef. Calling him a cook feels inadequate. Beaver is a culinary wizard sage operating under the cover of a neighborhood café. Somehow, ingredients that have no business becoming extraordinary emerge from his kitchen transformed into dishes that make you reconsider your life choices and wonder why every meal can't be this good. If there is magic in Oklahoma City, a fair amount of it is happening behind that kitchen door.
The Red Cup serves coffee, certainly. But what it really serves is continuity. Twenty-four years later, that's what keeps me coming back. Some places sell beverages. The Red Cup has spent decades building a community, one cup, one meal, and one friendship at a time.“

“First time to visit tonight- what a fun and delicious experience!!- We usually have a cocktail at one of our favorite bars before dinner- but noticed they had a bar in the restaurant, Daniel (a professional bar keep ) served us stunning craft cocktails!!- (He’s also vice pres of the local bartender’s guild - impressive)!! We ordered multiple items from the menu and all were delicious!!- Jorge from the kitchen gave us a sample of some kind of cold/sweet coconut soup to sample- fabulous!!- Thanks Chef Jeff for a wonderful evening out !!!- Your staff is 5 star!!!“

“Hands down best Mediterran anywhere! So happy Oozies moved to Edmond. Everything is so great. Absolutely can't get enough of the cabbage rolls. Not sure how they make hummus, but it is Heaven. “Absolutely phenomenal! Decided to try a new restaurant, after visiting the zoo. I live a couple hours away, and most of the restaurants, we've tried in the OKC area, we're meh at best. We sat on the patio balcony, loved the view! Mac (our server) was friendly and attentive, probably the best service, I've ever had. I'm pretty sure this was the best meal, I've ever had! We will most definitely be back!“

“Main Event Oklahoma City was a fun place to spend time with family and friends. There are plenty of games and activities to keep everyone entertained, and the overall atmosphere was energetic and enjoyable. The food and service were good, but there was a little room for improvement. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely come back for another visit.“

“Probably one of the best pizza spots in the metro. Their pizzas offer both incredible topping combos and a crust thats delicious. Dont pass up their baked goods either. My only wish is that they had more space for the busy times but overall, I could not recommend this place enough.“

“This has been our favorite restaurant for years. The customer service is top notch!! Met the owner this evening and just simply amazed by her years of dedication and not just 1 but running 3 restaurants.. being a restaurant owner I just am so impressed!! Oh and Kennan (sp?) our server, was absolutely one of the best servers we have ever had at any restaurant!! Then he tells us he had only been there two weeks!! Amazing!!!“

“There are a few Hideaway Pizza branches around OKC including this place on E 5th Street just across from Stephenson Park in Edmond. They have a fairly large indoor seating area, you can do take-away as well. Opening hours are 11am to 9.30pm daily. Menu is a nice range of pizza choices. You can also build your own custom pizza. They also do some starters, sides and salads commonly served in pizza places. We ordered the large Pepporonipalooza on thin crust. Loaded with pepporonis, savoury sauce and good quality cheese, this was really good pizza and noticeably more than we could finish, resulting in our having to half a handful of slices home to enjoy the following day. This was quite a good pizza experience, one that I'd be happy to return and enjoy again next time in Edmond.“

“In town to visit our son in the Air Force. We stopped in for breakfast and sat at the bar. We were immediately greeted by Caleb. I love finding cool spots in new places. I have been a chef for over 25 years and thought the menu was well thought out and quite honestly pretty impressive. We loved our food, the service was impeccable. We will definitely be back.“

Parking can be a little challenging which is normal for Downtown OKC.
Staff is welcoming and nice.
Menu was easy to read.
Prices are reasonable.
I personally was not a fan of the gravy on either items that I ordered. The bacon inside of the omelette was whole strips so it was hard to cut.“

The seasonal drinks and dishes are expertly curated—they never miss! 🍷 The folks behind the bar make some of the best drinks in town and are experts at pairing just the right wine with your chosen entreé. 🍴The service at Frida is flawless. I’m always impressed with the staff and their professionalism. They are truly experts at their craft. 😋 It’s almost impossible to choose just one or two dishes to recommend, everything they serve is amazing! “I found this place through Doordash randomly and have been so impressed! I have tried three pasta dishes and they've all been so good. The chicken in them is so flavorful! My food has been to go each time so I can't speak on the in store experience but my food is always fast, fresh and warm including the baked goods! My only complaint if I'm absolutely being picky is my tortellini was a bit over cooked last time but sometimes that happens with to go pasta. very good food and I recommend!“
