I have to mention the poached pear as it was absolutely a delight and is now my favorite food. The veal parmigiana was equally fantastic and the cheesecake was divine. You truly taste the authenticity in every bite. If you're looking for an unforgettable Italian dining experience, this is the place! Get your reservations early as this place books fast! I tried 6 of the dry wines plus the Sangria and took home a bottle of the Sauvignon Blanc, Five Civilized Tribes Red Blend and the Sangria. It's a lovely setting near Lake Thunderbird State Park in Norman, Oklahoma. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area.”

A fairly quiet atmosphere but does contain a few tvs for viewing experience or simply take your plate to your room; as long as you have your receipt you can return for 2nds. The best nights to eat are when they are serving New York strip steaks, prime rib, spare baby back ribs, or the beef short rib, the short rib has been on point & is probably their best menu item. They have buffet items that are tasty & a regular item. Such as pizza, panini, fried cod, salmon, a wide spread of desserts, and a beautiful salad bar. Everybody serving within the buffet are very friendly, greeting you as you walk up, and always helpful. Even those cleaning the tables are very friendly. It's not a bad place to dine at, just a bit costly so make sure you go with an appetite to get your money's worth.”

I appreciate all things old school and “how they should be”… This little culinary gem is a prime example of that. It’s like a hippy and a Jewish deli owner got married and started a business and you are the beneficiary of sandwich and soup that achieves “excellent” status! If you eat here and don’t try the potato salad you have made a grave error and I am going to have to question your credibility on all things food or food adjacent. Make good choices and eat this potato salad. Eat it slowly. Shed a tear for yourself, because if this is the first time you are eating it….. you have sorely missed out on something special. You deserve it. I had the New York Deli Classic. Pastrami that has attained the level of mana. That’s all you and your kids, family and weird work friends need to know. If you do not try this sandwich, I will come to your home and let your pets go and dump your neighbors’ trash bins into your yard. You have been told. Do something about it. Eat here or else Fido will be loosed on the neighborhood.”

“Walking into Kitchen 21 feels like walking into the kitchen of a beloved family member, warm, enticing, and welcoming. Every customer, whether for carryout or dining in, is greeted with cheerful enthusiasm. The wide selection of appetizers, the variety of authentic dishes, and the array of Pho options make the menu extensive, but all the wait staff, chefs, and even the Owner are happy to answer questions and make suggestions, at your request. The prices and portions are generous, and I have never left the restaurant feeling hungry or unhappy with my meal. They are currently working to expand the menu further. Their Pho broth is hands-down the best I've ever had. The layers of flavor, the subtlety and complexity, are next level. Be sure to stop in to Kitchen 21 for your next Thai or Vietnamese craving. You will not be disappointed!”

I tried the basil eggplant with pork. Instead of being a standard brown garlic sauce, it had a slightly different flavor to it, that made it magical. Almost tomato. Maybe tamarind? Amy greeted us like we’d been coming there for years. Day one, I ordered the supreme burrito with homemade Verde sauce — huge and full of flavor. My wife got the breakfast quesadilla and still had leftovers. We loved it so much, we came back the next morning. I had the meat lovers omelette, and three cups of their coffee (and I’m not even a coffee guy). Chef Robert nailed it again — especially the fried green tomatoes. This place feels like the kind of diner you linger in, talking with other customers while waiting for your food. If you like big portions, good coffee, and a true small-town vibe, this spot’s a must-try.”

“We had take out, so atmosphere I can’t rate. But i took time to make a review for their yummy hot and sour soup ! The mushrooms were fresh and the soup has a complex sour taste with perfect spices. Honestly it is the best I’ve ever had. Pork fried rice had generous portion and lots of pork, in the days where others are skimping on the protein big time. There fried rice is a little browner and a little more moist than my favorite style but I have ordered here before so I knew it maybe had a bit more dark soy maybe that gives it the brownish color. Not to greasy. Singapore chow me I fun super yummy too, did not skimp on the protein and my tongo carryon was completely full.

My wife and I recently visited The Brown Bag, and I cannot recommend this place enough. While the food was fantastic, the service was truly on another level—if I could give it 1,000 stars, I would!

The Highlight: Above & Beyond Service
A huge thank you to Alysha, who was our server. I accidentally ordered my tacos with bacon (totally my fault!), and since we don't eat bacon, I went back to the counter to pay for a new order. Alysha noticed what happened and immediately stepped in. She insisted on comping the second order and replaced my tacos for free. It’s rare to find a business that cares more about the customer experience than a few extra dollars.

Everything we ordered was delicious. If you're visiting, here are our top recommendations:
• The Burger: Juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection.
• The Poppers: The perfect kick to start the meal.
• The Tacos: Even without the bacon, these were a 10/10!

They worked closely with the local owners to retrieve it, going above and beyond to help me in such a stressful moment. Their kindness, quick thinking, and dedication truly amazed me. Overall, our visit to Louie's Grill & Bar was a success, thanks to the tasty food, welcoming atmosphere, and excellent service. But the absolute BEST thing on the menu are the chocolate chip cookies. Soft in the middle, crunchy on the outside, they're the PERFECT cookie. Prices are decent, and the service is usually good. The only thing I don't like is that they get impatient if you're not standing right at the counter when you're food is ready, and so if you're not right there they set it aside BEHIND the counter and you have to wait for an employee to hand you your food. Kind of annoying, but not a big deal.”

He’s trying to figure out what’s going on. She then proceeds to yell. I don’t care. I want a refund. I don’t have time to wait. This is ridiculous. Ends up getting the manager involved. He comes over there. He’s trying every way possible to fix the situation the lady is not dealing with it she’s just yelling at everybody just being extremely hateful. We ended up waiting 15 extra minutes and they were able to get our pizzas out to us. They offered us free drinks and even today when I went back in, they offered us another free pizza. Which I did not take because they really didn’t do anything wrong. It was nice that they were trying very hard to make sure their customers were happy but what that lady did last night was unacceptable. That was my first experience visually witnessing a Karen and I feel really bad for the employees because they did not deserve that no one does. They took care of us and I’ll be honest. This is literally the only gas station we go to in Norman because their coffee that they have is amazing and their food is delicious every single time so I am more than pleased with the grill and the store.”

“Anytime we’re craving waffles, this is our go-to Waffle House. If Christian is the cook, just know your plate is going to be perfect—he’s one of the best we’ve ever had, and we visit a lot of Waffle Houses. The only other time we’ve had food this good was in Moultrie, GA, so that says a lot.

Ms. Mary is an amazing waitress as well! She gets our order right every time, is friendly, attentive, and works so well with Christian. You can tell they make a great team. Christian checks in, is very polite, and genuinely cares about the quality of the food and service.

“First time having Taco Mayo (other than at a concession stand at a football game). Got a taco and a beef and bean burrito. The taco was good, not the best I've had, and the burrito was OK. Everything was hot and the place was clean. Service was good and quick. The prices were decent. Pretty much the same lane as Taco Bueno. I'll probably return and try something else.”

And what can I say about our owner.. he is all about this business he calls Chris to check in throughout the day to make sure things are running smoothly and that we always have our checks. “We recently moved to Norman and started frequenting this IHOP. From the very onset we noticed a person training servers in the main dining area. Craig is his name. We come from a family in the hospitality industry and we appreciate great service. We were very impressed by what we saw with attention to even the smallest detail being explained fully to each trainee and was presented with precise and clear instruction. It was also very evident of the pride he took in his job and the restaurant. This person is an employee I would wish every service industry had in their company! He is hard-working, friendly, devoted and humble!”

I have also been in the store several times. Store is always incredibly clean. Parking lot and the building is immaculate. Not a ton of seating inside since it is a smaller store. If I had to guess, the store seats 20-25 people.”
