I stopped in after work last Friday to try this place out. I had been wanting to try the Chick-A-Doodle-Do for a minute but hadn't made it over to the neighborhood. Everything was fresh, delicious, and cooked to order. Sorry I didn't take any photos, but what came out on my tray truly looked just like a photo from a menu; Nice attention to detail. This place reminded me of the Family Restaurant I worked at in high school, and I loved all the flavors and feelings of nostalgia....read full review
The restaurant including the bathroom was clean. My food was delivered promptly. I have not been to the Charcoal Oven since the NW expressway days. I was not impressed with the burger. The price was reasonable. The onion rings were good though. My overall review is "blah".

Charcoal Oven was on northwest expressway in OKC for 50-60 years. I had thought they were out of business. I tried their new location 36th and May. The burgers were great. The only problem is they located right next to Patty Wagon, which is the best burgers in OKC. Tough place to be….
