Food was amazing and staff was super friendly.
Authentic Italian. Not sure what their story / secret is, but THIS is the closest thing to being in Italy without leaving Oklahoma. I rarely write reviews, but this place deserves a novel to be written about it. The chicken picatta is the BEST I’ve ever had. Literally my favorite restaurant in Oklahoma, and if they were closer to me in OKC, I’d consider a new career in armed robbery to support my new “Gambill’s Pastaria” habit. Gambill's Pastaria is a great little hidden gem in Tulsa, serving fresh pasta and sourdough pizza. The restaurant is described as the best, most casual Italian restaurant in the city with a genuine, local charm. The atmosphere is somewhat bland but entirely acceptable, with red crossed stripes on white and music played somewhat loudly. The staff is excellent and attentive but detached, and the wait for food is very low.
Food is inoffensive and worth it for the price. The fettuccine bolognese is to die for, and an order of meatballs with marinara always hits the spot. The ricotta balls, pasta dishes, and tiramisu are loved by visitors. The Alfredo Chicken Parmesan is a decadent dish of house-marinated, Parmesan-breaded fried chicken over creamy fettuccine Alfredo, topped with melted mozzarella. Don't skip dessert—the tiramisu and cheesecake are highly recommended. Generous portions and homemade pasta with foccacia bread make for a real treat. The restaurant also has old school arcade games inside for the kids.
