“Unfortunately, I had the steak chunk sandwich, on special....their name for it was a Cheesesteak sandwich...chunks of reheated old steak, with ample grizzle, without cheese...couldn't eat it...but the onion rings were great...used to love going there, but the food has dropped in quality...sad. Did get ample apologies from our waitress, and it's certainly not her fault...she did go inside, after seeing the mess on my plate...comped half the price, even with 3/4 left...oh well...thank you, I guess.“

“I don't normally hand out 5 stars lightly but my wife and I went there for our 40th Anniversary and her 77th birthday, yes, the same day, and the food and service were excellent. Maddie was our server and she was was friendly and efficient. Her timing was always spot on. We had appetizers for dinner, Mini Stuffed Yorkshires, Calamari Fritti, Crab Cakes and bacon wrapped Sea Scallops. We also had a bottle of CabSav, the cheaper of 2 choices, it was very good. What a delight!! Yes, 5 stars. BTW, Rose's dessert was a chocolate fudge cheesecake. Yummy!! Yes, it cost a bit more than usual but it was multiple appetizers and a bottle of wine.“

“Grand Dad’s Bar does things right. Fast and friendly service, great food, and great prices. We had smash burgers, fries, and onion rings. Everything arrived fast and hot at our table, and all items were very good. Our experience will have us coming back to try other items on the menu. Thanks, and keep up the good work!“

Arielle who was the event coordinator was extremely thorough and accurate in all her communications. Day of event went perfectly and the service was top notch.“

“I have never been to this restaurant before. We stopped in for a quick dinner. First of all the customer service was outstanding! The waitress including the girls bringing out the food, we're awesome!! Every one of them had a smile on their face. No matter what anybody asked her for she was right on it. The food was delicious. Not one of us had a bad meal. They did an excellent job the food was amazing. Don't hesitate to stop here it is a gem!!♥“

“I came in TWICE this week because of the specials advertised. The food was great, the waitress was so nice and kept checking on us. I had the best Long Beach (Whoooo! 1 is all i needed, it was so great!!) 😄so delicious! and my hubby had a Bloody Mary. He's a Bloody Mary snob and he said that was one of the best he’s had. Will be back for this weekend reopening! I used to come in a long time ago but stopped and I saw it was under new ownership so we went and I think this is our new spot. So excited. Not many good places downriver close to home.“

“We were supposed to celebrate my sons 21st birthday at at different establishment, but do to a technical computer error, that establishment was closed for the day. The Bierhaven was able to accommodate my large group at the last minute. The staff were great and professional and the food was amazing. After we left the restaurant, my son left cash, visa gift cards and other items behind. We didn’t realize we left these items behind. The Bierhaven found my son on Facebook and reached out to him to get these items back to him. Most places or people would have pocketed the cash and gift cards, but they didn’t. Thank you for having an honest staff crew. We appreciate it ❤️“

“This is our 2nd time here and we love it! We've been on a slow Sunday, and a busy Thursday evening. Two different experiences for sure, but each time the server was super personable and food was amazing.
The pizza is SO good! I'm from the east coast and it reminds me of pizza I had growing up...made by Italians! You can tell whoever created the menu loves food. The combinations of tastes in each dish are so satisfying and different from a lot of other places around. We definitely plan on returning a bunch!“

“This place is a dive bar. There floors are practically dirt lol. Not really, but this place is a long way from being fancy.The place is pretty cool actually. There is plenty of seating and a little bit of memorabilia on the walls.The best part of this place is the price. The beer and food is very reasonable. And while their menu is not that deep and not the highest quality, you just can't beat some of the deals they have during certain days of the week.Overall, not a bad place.“
