Everything from the chicken to the lamb to the salad to the fries is fantastic. Even the texture of the rice of the rice bowl is amazing?? “The large gyro dinner was good, everything is there, but, look over to the right. That’s correct, that’s a buttered hot dog bun. I’ll be honest, I’m not mad, I’m just confused. Did your kitchen run out of pita bread? Someone could’ve just told me as I got my takeout order. I got back home to this. “Greek Market Cafe is an absolute gem that brings the heart of Greece right to Richmond Hill. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with the warm, welcoming energy of a family-run spot that truly cares about what they serve. I tried the pork gyro pita and it was fantastic, generously packed with flavourful meat, fresh toppings, and creamy tzatziki, all wrapped in a soft, warm pita. The fries on the side were perfectly crispy, and the portion was more than satisfying.

The real standout, though, was the loukoumades, fresh, in-house, and absolutely outstanding. Golden and crispy on the outside, light and airy inside, and drizzled with honey, they're easily some of the best I've had outside of Greece itself. The coffee is also excellent, and the gelato selection is a lovely bonus.

What really makes this place special is the service.
The owners and staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, going out of their way to make sure you feel taken care of, one reviewer even mentioned how Kayan and Yasmin made their visit perfect with great suggestions and genuine kindness.
