Our server, Ian M. was cheerful, friendly and quick. The Kelseys on Maplview in Barrie is one of our favourite places to go for amazing service and excellent food!!“

“1-Follow up on reservations for my party by the restaurant hours ahead-and seating location was as requested.Notified we had two for service that day -Catt /Makayla .2-Informed both-we were catching up our once a month chit/chat and they informed us of the menus - etc —choices were made on our part with both of them checking on our various selections and keeping things flowing all the time.-questions of changing salad dressings with our selections-just one of the changes after that a few more but never gave the suggestion to us that it was any problem.-Several times we were asked how are things going-was there any thing we did not have or do we wish to change anything that was just not what we thought we were Ordering from the menus. “My wife and I visited Jack Astor's on Aug. 16/25 and had an amazing experience!! From the very beginning where we were greeted by the smiling, cheerful hostesses, to our dinner, to the very end when we said our good-byes to the hostesses again, our visit was great!! Our server, Cohen, deserves special mention because he made our dinner a great one!! From his greeting to the end, he was always attentive and courteous but not overly so as some can do! Also, the whole staff deserves a shoot-out because someone was always clearing away plates, etc. Cohen, thank you for all your efforts in making the dinner an enjoyable one!!! We will definitely return to Jack Astor's Barrie in the future!

“I know their beer from LCBO and my local grocery store carry them and I really like it. The experiment with it with very good results. So been in Barrie where the brewery is decided to pay them a visit. There are two noticable elements, of course number one to mention been what they are is their product (beer of course) they really have a great selection available with a range for a wide variety of tastes, and second to mention is their service which is very, very good. Our server very knowledgeable in the field. Food is good, pub style, but is not the main reason you go to a brewery, but it was a good note on the side of the beer.“

“I came to the Farmhouse Restaurant for a wedding and it was a lovely and intimate venue with a great b and b upstairs for the bridal party to stay in. The appetizers were delicious and I was hopeful for the meal but my chicken avocado sandwich was a bit dry - asked for extra mayo to help with that. The fries were good, as was the salad, and the chocolate pecan torte was AMAZING! The waitstaff were lovely, so professional, and friendly. Overall, a good experience and a perfect venue for a small wedding!“

However, no one asked us about spice levels when we ordered, so we assumed the dishes would be moderately spicy, but they weren’t spicy at all. “It's a sports bar and when evaluated as such it's fantastic. Free popcorn, really impressive nightly specials/deals and portions on those are decent and the staff is over the top freidnly. Tons of tvs lots of seating and as sports bar dingy it is , it's appropriately clean.“

“Lots of Italian options in Barrie these days, but this location isn't one to sleep on.

Prices, portions, and service are all stellar. Every dish we had was classic in presentation and taste. Nothing left on any plate by the time we were through with the meal.

Servers were all extremely friendly, accommodating, and prompt. Couldn't ask for more as a patron.

After we were done we grabbed some desserts from the small grocery front they have on the other side. Lots of awesome authentic Italian desserts and pantry stock options too.

“went to Sakana house location at Big Bay Point with a group of 8 yesterday (Feb3), about 40 minutes into receiving our food, different individuals from our table start finding hair in the food while grabbing it straight from each platter. the first time a hair is found we mention it to the staff and just put aside the food that has a 10" hair in it. then it continues, long hairs, short hairs, black hair, brown hair, etc. each time we show the staff they take it away. after 5 times in a row we stop eating and decide we want to go. we ask to speak to the manager. no manager comes to us. a staff by the name of "Na Na" decides to say she was sorry, but everyone wears hair nets and it's busy...... we walk to the area where staff makes and preps food, not one person is wearing hair nets...... I again ask for a manager to which no one never comes. she then says she'd give us a discount on each bill for the trouble. I paying for 3, with a bill of $134 got a $10 discount for hairy food and we went elsewhere because we were still hungry at we were not there for long..... the table behind us found hair in their food as well, in their first plate. they left right away..... So If you want hairy sushi at full price, go here. I will be calling Food Safety and complaining about this location as well. 0/5 rating!!“

“We had lunch there yesterday. It was hot as can be but my husband wanted to sit on the patio. Staff were super nice and brought drinks and refills fast. It was amazing! Pizza was cooked perfectly!! Will go back when in the area.“

“The truth is manager would hook up with girls in his office stealing moneny from at louis and allowing his bartenders to to coke in the bathroom and god knows what else all the pools competitive poola and so forth are botched and have determined winners like old regulars that have put forth money into the estqblishment almoat all of the regulars drink and drive and will go further to say ive wqrched guys come out of restroom and id go in and find abunch of coke on the bathroom table there , bartenders getting into regulars cara to take shots of alcohal and indisend exposure by older woman with the age to be someone granny. Needless to say also got bartenders im theyre that would be doing coke with the managers brother aswell“
