“This was my first visit to Golden Star Chinese Restaurant! WOW! I was very impressed with the interior decor, very cultural and inviting. My FAVORITE part was meeting the Owner, AMANAD! What an absolute delight she was!!!! 🙂🥰👏👏👏
I just met her and right off the bat, we hit it off.👌 She was very funny and you could just tell she had a good heart. Her and her husband DENNY own this quaint restaurant and both share in the cooking while Amanda checks the patrons in.

I was very excited to see ALMOND GUY DING on the menu! MY FAVORITE! The mixture and sauce was perfect!
The Rice was packed in there for sure and the chicken balls had just the right combination of Crispy outer shell, soft tender dough and a good chunk of chicken inside.
I never had the good fortune to meet Denny but next time im in Beaverton, you can bet your bottom dollar i will 100% visit here again.i living Thornhill where a good Chinese restaurant is difficult to find although its a predominantly Chine area.
Nevertheless......
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND This wonderful little Gem of a restaurant on 306 Simco Street, Beaverton Ontario.
When you go there and please make sure you treat yourself well, tell AMANADA.....JR SENT YOU! She's perhaps one of the friendliness people I have EVER MET! “I had the pleasure of picking up lunch today. I met three fantastic staff, Mikunj, Modi, and Vrutti. Not only did they make my order before I could blink, they made it with care. They didn't just make me and my family food. They took time to talk with me. You should be proud to have employees like this. Thank you!”

“My food here was wonderful! The only thing taking away from my experience was an employee (maybe even a manager) named Avery. I didn’t have a specific issue with her, but she was so awful to her coworkers. It seemed the apple juice machine wasn’t working and giving out diluted apple juice and she immediately began yelling at her coworker and being degrading asking her if she “even knew what apple juice looked like.” After that, a customer wasn’t responding to her calling out their number, Avery took the bag of food and threw it and yelled at another coworker about how she shouldn’t leave the food on the pick up counter if people aren’t picking it up. I understand working in a busy environment is overwhelming, but it doesn’t hurt to be a little kind and compassionate to your coworkers because they’re also dealing with the business of a Sunday afternoon rush. I also wasn’t the only customer who noticed her behaviour. In fact, a bunch of us were actually talking about how appalling her behaviour was. Avery’s behaviour didn’t highlight anyone’s incompetence but her own. I will say she was at least kind enough to say, “have a good day” to me with kindness.”

“Almost everyday I come through the drive thru for a French vanilla and most times Rebecca is at the window, she’s just the sweetest and kindest person, thank you Rebecca for you’re kindness, it doesn’t go unnoticed ☺️”

“1st time customer Friday 2/28/25 7:30pm. Way more than just wings. Large menu. Live entertainment all evening by Erin K Blackstock. Drinks/beer was flowing, food was flying out of the kitchen. Service was prompt and friendly.. I enjoyed a Buffalo Chix Salad. Greens were fresh and crisp. I had a great time. Can't wait to go back.”

“The staff in this establishment are very nice, ive came in to hear the manager scream at their staff and customers I can’t believe someone would let this childish 50 year old to run a store when it looks like they can barely take care of themselves. If your ever passing through brechin and stop be sure to tell the kids their doing great because they put up with a very impolite and selfish manager. That person should no longer be a manager or even an employee for that matter due to the fact that they are bullying teens because they want to feel empowered over them by far the most incompetent and disrespectful person I’ve ever seen”
