“Just happened to stumble upon this place on Good Friday. The food was amazing. We had ravioli, carbonara and penne vodka pasta. Every dish was superb. Fresh and homemade. The lovely woman sent out bruschetta type snack for us complimentary as they cooked our meals. Service was excellent !Will be back to this little gem !”

“On our journey to try every chip truck between Toronto and Haliburton - we finally made it to the famous Brechin landmark - Captain Jack's! Located right next to the big Grocery store and just past the train tracks on Hwy 12 - Captain Jack's is a family tradition stopover for a lot of people going to or from their cottages. We pulled in on a scorching hot day in September hoping to grab a bite and sit in the shade. Unfortunately, there were only a couple of picnic tables set up and no umbrellas at all for shade. There is a big grassy area next to and behind the chip truck and a pretty clean porta-potty nearby as well. We ordered a medium poutine ($8.50), medium onion rings ($8) and a cheeseburger ($9). It took a while for the grumpy ladies who were slaving away over the grill to get our order ready - but was it ever worth the wait! Fantastic tasting poutine, nice and crispy onion rings and a perfectly grilled cheeseburger that was absolutely delightful!! We went across the street and ate our food in the LCBO parking lot in our car in the shade of a big tree - it would've been nicer to have eaten it on the grass at the chip truck but it was just too hot. Really good food - I understand why I have always seen so many people stopping there for a bite! Highly recommended and we will definitely return!”

I had Alex greet me when I first walked in and I was overly impressed by this young gentleman. He went above and beyond in his service by being very personable, friendly, and on the ball. “We had the jalapeño poppers, chicken wings, spicy shrimp linguine, crème brûlée. All of which was an absolute 10 out of 10. Everything made from scratch and you can see the pride taken when your food arrives. A little pricey, but you will not be disappointed. You must make reservations”
