“Best Pad Thai I've eaten in Thai Express for a while. Used to be a regular in Mississauga but the quality and quantity have both gone down, but the Appleby Burlington branch seems authentic with full of flavor.
Owners were nice, they even invited us from back door when they had issue with their front door this Friday lunch.

“My favourite Chinese takeout in the city. Best spot to call when in the mood for some Americanized Chinese food. Their prices are amazing for the portions, and they offer lots of options in their combos. My go to is the General Tso and Chicken Balls, both are always crispy and never greasy, like other Chinese places. Overall I highly recommend calling ahead of time because they are always busy, which goes to show how good it is. Definitely give this place a try!“

They were rightfully concerned about food allergies and handled it like professionals.

Taste was great and plenty of leftovers for tomorrow. Great value too, all things considered.

“It's not authentic Thai food, but I'm not sure what people expect in a shopping mall food court. The food is, however, very good, and the value is hard to deny. A two-item meal could easily feed two people.

We also ordered chicken satays and spring rolls (4 in each order). They were very good. Definitely too much food for two people so leftovers were for lunch the next day.“

Large portion sizes so if you're eating alone order appropriately otherwise you'll have leftovers for a while, but the food is tasty and they're very quick with orders. In an era before Yelp and the dominance of Google reviews, this was a staple for great Thai food in Oakville, and seeing it still standing in all its glory on Lakeshore Road is a testament to its enduring quality. The Food
• Shrimp Cakes (9/10):
These were a highlight. Perfectly executed with a satisfying contrast between the crispy exterior and the soft, succulent interior. A tiny bit more seasoning would make these absolutely world-class, but they are already a must-order.

You can tell the kitchen takes pride in their prep work; the vegetables were expertly and evenly cut. While the flavour was great, the filling leaned slightly toward the sweeter side, and the dipping sauce felt a bit standard compared to the high quality of the rolls themselves.

• Yellow Curry (9/10):
A very hearty and creamy dish that hit all the right comfort notes. The flavour profile was satisfying, though the chicken was a touch though. Additionally, cutting the potato pieces into more uniform, bite-sized chunks would make the dish easier to enjoy.

• Basil Chicken (9/10):
This was the standout for spice lovers. It was savoury, punchy, and perfectly balanced. It is exactly the kind of dish that reminds you why this place has stayed in business for twenty years.

“It’s so delicious that I want to eat it every day. I rush over to eat thai soup and tomyum soup after class. The tomato flavor of tomyum is particularly fragrant. The fried rice is also delicious, and the fried rice noodles are also delicious. Without this store, I would feel like a rat in school.
The calories of different meats are very thoughtfully written. The mini bowl is just right, and the large bowl can be ordered when you are hungry. You can also add your own sauce and get a small packet of peanuts.

“Sukhothai was amazing! The servers were very nice & friendly. The place eventually got very busy as they have indoor & outdoor seating. It seemed like there was only a handful of wait staff, but they still managed to provide great service. The food was delicious! We got the mango salad which came in some sort of fried rice paper (I think) and it was a great starter. We also got the chicken wings, which was surprisingly very filling and came with a lovely chili sauce on the side along with some pickled veggies which paired very nicely together. For our mains we got pad see ew & pad thai. Spice level chosen was "spicy", but it wasn't that spicy so I would probably even choose "Thai Spicy" for next time. Regardless, both dishes were really good. The portions were pretty large and we definitely took a lot of it to go. Their Thai Iced Tea was DELICIOUS! Not overly sweet - just perfect. Lastly, we ended our meal with their mango sticky rice dessert. Again, it wasn't overly sweet - it was just right. The final total was surprisingly a lot lower than we expected, which was a plus! Will definitely be returning to try their other dishes. Highly recommended! It was also great that they had a location in Markham, so trekking downtown wasn't necessary.“
