32 Best Indian Restaurants near Claremont

“Ms. Bala treated us with such hospitality, the butter chicken and rice was great! I suggest anyone to come and have lunch or dinner here, it is a staple in Claremont!“

“Delicious! Great flavour combinations. A definite must try in Ajax.“

“We visited Desi Bar & Grill yesterday on 14 Dec 2024. The experience was worth mentioning as the Desi Bar & Grill's Interior was quite impressive, with the relaxed feeling of an entertaining restaurant with the food, bar service, and server courtesy. It deserves a stars (*****) rating except for one suggestion. It is nice to hear the ever-green Indian Songs except for the loudness associated with the noise this created necessitating keeping it low will be dignified and relaxing for distinguished visitors to engage in audible mutual conversation rather than put restraint and blockage by loud music. Running of soft Indian 'Gazals' will add to the environment apart from Punjabi/Hindi songs.“

“Delicious food. Beautiful ambience. Very friendly staff. Worth the money. Definitely will come again 🥰“

“Food was very good and service was great. Customer service excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant.“

“Authentic taste, with assal Maharsahtrian touch. I have tried different items few and every time I have realized that the food is fresh and always exceeds expectations in taste and quantity. I would highly recommend.“

“Very tasty with lots of selections of meats. I enjoy the fish pakora so much, I could eat it all myself! Chicken biryani and butter chicken are also favourites. Good selection of drinks while you wait. We have been going to the Markham location since it opened. Always clean with very friendly staff.“

“We usually buy vegetable roti and samosas from this place, and they are always fresh and delicious. The quality of the food is consistently excellent. This place is also well known for its amazing ice cream, which is definitely worth trying. We love coming here and will definitely visit again. Highly recommended!“

“delicious food!! definitely one of my 'go to' places“

“Such a wonderful experience! The seller was unexpectedly kind, understanding, and incredibly helpful. The store is super clean, the service is excellent, and everything looks fresh, homemade, and delicious.
I’m so happy to live nearby and have access to such fresh and yummy food. A special thank you to the gentleman working on Sunday, August 16, who was so kind and helpful.
Highly recommend stopping by and supporting this lovely store. Please go check it out and enjoy!“

“We have been coming to this location for over 15 years. Never been disappointed. This is our go to place for amazing Indian cuisine. The employees and owner are excellent. We have many fond memories eating here with family. Thank you!“

“I’ve come here time and time again, each time the taste, quality and overall experience is top notch. I will always claim this place to be the best roll spot I’ve ever had. I absolutely adore their chicken tikka roll. I had my wife try it for the first time and she loved it as well. I wish they opened a location down in Mississauga/Brampton area so it’s closer. But the flavour makes it worth making the drive. To the owners, Thank you for maintaining the practices to keep the flavour and tastes the same as always! May Allah reward you with more!“

“Food was execellent. Service was good. I recommend this restaurant.“

“Excellent chai and loved the ambiance 😊“

“If you're looking at this spot for a take out order and have never sat down, you are missing out. The crunch with that sauce is ridiculous - it'll never travel.

Hakka approved this place is great and a steal of a deal.“

“Enjoyed the taste“

“I had a fantastic experience; the food came quickly, and the employees showcased amazing customer service skills.“

“This place is total gem 💎, I ordered halwa puri and keema naan. Everything is so delicious 😋 the best halwa puri i ever had in canada. It’s gonna be my go to place for food whenever I crave for desi food. The owner Ali bhai, is very nice & friendly and they have great customer service. I would recommend everyone.“

“Among the best North Indian Street food & lunch/dinner in East side. Gobhi Manchurian, Gol Gappas, Kulchas are absolutely mouth watering. All other preprations are awesome too. Food is freshly prepared so it can take a bit. Best to order in advance or wait for a bit but the wait is worthwhile. Quite reasonable and overall service is great.“

“I'm in Oshawa but any time theres a party, doesnt matter where, Ill make sure I pick up a tray of their pasta or get someone else to pick it up (if Im hosting). Have been doing this for the past 3 years at least. There pasta is phenomenol. Not the ketchup pasta (sweet and mild) that you get from all restaurants (be it italian or not; its like all they do is open that can of tomato sauce and plop it on their pasta). Applespice's pasta has real flavor and a wonderful kick depending on the spice level you ask for. Always tell them how many people you're serving, their recommendations never go wrong. I can spend $50 here and serve about 8-10 people so portion sizes are really good for the price as well.“

“Dropped in for a quick dinner food was delicious, customer service exceptional! Recommend for great authentic taste and make sure to try their kheer.. I’m not big on dessert but this one changed my mind, my kids even said the kheer tasted better than ice cream and a new favourite dessert so that speaks for itself!“

“Random stop at this south Asian place while waiting for my son's rugby game. Staff was super friendly, offered samples, made suggestions. We left with a bag full of new food to try and a cup of delicious tea, for about half the price I expected to pay. I have no idea when I will be back in the area but I'll be sure to shop here again.“

“Service is pathetic, you'll have to usually wait A LOT for the server's attention and then even more for the food to come.

But the food is worth the wait. I hope they increase the servers, the are ALWAYS short staffed, not sure why the management doesn't see it or if the just don't care.“

“Today I bought mutton kottu spicy and delicious, last week I ordered mutton kottu for 20 people and vegetarian rolls hot and spicy and delicious all loved.
Thank you for your service.
And one elder lady I don’t know her name but she was awesome service always with smile !“

“Very good foods punctuality customer pickuping nice“

“They source some of the best WI food in the area. I wish the hard dough bread was warm when it arrives. Good selection.Closing time - missing starMost people work until 5, away from home. If you close by 6 it doesn't give people a chance to even get close. 6:30 is more reasonable.“

“Low point of Covid shutdown was when Canbe shut their doors. Best veggie samosas ever. I eat them all on the drive home! Open again soon, please!!“

“I ordered catering from Spicy Dragon 2 weeks ago and I was so impressed with the quality, quantity and punctuality of the food. Was our first time and I highly recommend them for any event. Than I decided to invite some friends over to the restaurant. Again I was impressed with the customer service and quality of the food. The staff is very caring and friendly. I will definitely will return.“
