“The Waubic is my all time favorite destination on the Severn waterway. The family run restaurant inspires memories of my childhood at the cottages we used to visit. The food is amazing, the atmosphere friendly and fun, the dogs adorable, and most of all Karen and her family bring such a warmth and kindness that it feels like family every time I go there. Sitting on my boat and watching all the boaters come in from morning to night and sometimes waiting for a long period of time shows that this place is worth the visit! Their fish and chips are one of the things that bring many people back, and all the freshly baked goodies are a great way to end your meal. It is also amazing to sit on the patio in the summer, enjoying great food, hearing the boats go by and listening to Steve Ryan play!! This is my favorite place for a reason!!“

“Wow, almost past this place by. So glad we didn’t.What a wonderful and unexpected experience. First we met Shelby when we entered. What a fantastic person. She was amazing and a great hostess and server.We ordered our food and watched as they prepared our great lunch. Janice had the Reuben sandwich and I had the Beer battered fish and chips. We both substituted our regular fries for sweet potato fries.What an excellent lunch. Both were perfect and the service was amazing. Shelby was handling everything up front by herself. “Was a great time with the family and friends. Had just gone to Christie's Mill for a swim with our kids and some family friends and it was the perfect dinner on the way home burgers were fantastic juciy patties fresh toppings was delicious. To top it off one of the ladies who ran the building hero is in gave all the kids candy canesade our night.Vegetarian options: They have quite a few vegetarian options for a burger place including sweet potatoes, plant based and a few more options not sure if they still offer salmon.Kid-friendliness: They also have kids combos, Jr burgers Jr cheeseburgers, chicken burgers, chicken strips lots of kid options.Wheelchair accessibility: The parking lot has plenty of wheelchair accessible parking as well as the building and hero burger are all completely wheelchair friendly.“
