“Saray is bright, colourful and fun. The food was unreal and super affordable. We’re glad we held off on ordering mains - 4 starter dips and 1 salad was MORE than enough for the 3 of us. I could live off of the cheese & feta rolls. Planning on taking my boys soon so they can try all the meat skewers while I eat all the appetizers. “Iskender was bad. Spices used were different than used in the real Turkish döner. Lahmacun was broken into pieces and cold. No lemon, parsley and onions were delivered with lahmacun.I ordered from this restaurant again and this time food was great. I realized that actually the delivery was bad. “We were looking for a quick and well-rated place to eat after a long day visiting Toronto and Sofra did not disappoint! The food was freshly made for us and delicious. Special attentions and smiles for our two daughters. Great service, amazing food and outstanding price-size-quality ratio! We especially loved the salad (amazing dressing), the mango juice and lemonade and the pizzas. The chicken was juicy and tasty. “I was in the area, driving around super hungry, approaching closing hour for many places and I really didn't want A&W/McD/Popeyes etc. Saw the word Shawarma looked open and yay pulled in here...but they were at end of the day and nothing on the spit. What's a girl who knows virtually nothing about Turkish food options, and without reading glasses to see the menu well, to do? The nice people made me something and off I went with my little hot package, still not quite totally knowing what I had in store. So....yum hello a fluffy and crispy baked flatbread with edges folded over, nicely spiced beef, some cheese...ahah! I just gobbled it down. And now I know what Pide is! And even better have another good place to go when around Downsview.“

“I am Korean Canadian with a pretty normal palate for food. I have become a regular here for the breads and pastry. In particular I love their personal sized pizzas and a tubular pastry that has feta and spinach Burek I think, I forget the name but absolutely the most crispy flaky and delicious breakfast I can have. Seems (pronounce Shems) is the gentlman usually behind the counter who is just the kindest man. They also have raw honey which my kids loved and I just tried the cherry drink. Good stuff especially for my gout. I am a customer for life~“

“A few weeks back, I met up with my good friend to stop in for a drink and dessert.

The server was really friendly and wanted us to try some desserts with our coffees. She was happy to make us a special blend of her Americano coffee for us. She did a great job!!

My friend and I were talking about Greece and opening up a cafe there and found out she was in Thessaloniki and loved it there, which is the area we were looking at opening a business.

Unfortunately, my friend had to fly out early morning so we had to leave early. We had a great time with the server and will continue the conversation the next time we are in the area.

I’m hoping she will see this and tell me what was the name of this dessert?

“We recently hosted a post wedding brunch for a number of out of towners, and we were in a bit of a last minute pinch to find a venue that would accommodate a group of 18 outdoors at one long table, and with a reservation that was not time limited. Sana came to the rescue, and provided the space, excellent attentive service, and even better TurcoPersian apps to start off our brunch.Truly, all the food was excellent, and we were able to send off our newlyweds in style from this lovely eatery. And the food got the seal of approval from the many Persian guests we were hosting! So do consider this restaurant for group parties, in addition to small table dining. It was my first time having this type of food and the man was very kind and explained everything to me 5/5 for service! Then when we ordered, the portions were huge!!! I got the meat combo plate and my buddy got the wrap, both tasted fantastic. The price point to quantity/ quality is huge!
