“The Best Ham Sandwich. Recently I had to drive down to Montreal to help a family member. I didn't want to stop along the way so I stopped at Ma Maison to stock up on food for the road. I bought a ham sandwich and some wonderful pastries. I think it may have been the best ham sandwich I ever had. The bread was both crispy and soft. The ham, that perfect mix of salty and sweet, the lettuce and tomato and mustard just made it amazing. When I trained as a chef, the chef who trained me said "Do the simple things with care and attention, this will let people know the quality of your work."
