I truly appreciate how accommodating they are—especially when it came to my mom’s high blood pressure. They kindly minimized the salt in her chicken without hesitation. I always order the chicken shawarma wrap—it’s flavorful, filling, and never disappoints! Great food and even better service.“

“Iskender was bad. Spices used were different than used in the real Turkish döner. Lahmacun was broken into pieces and cold. No lemon, parsley and onions were delivered with lahmacun.I ordered from this restaurant again and this time food was great. I realized that actually the delivery was bad. “I saw an ad for this place on instagram and was pleasently surprised to see mansaf! We finally got the chance to eat here today and our meal was delicious, 10/10 would recommend. We ordered mansaf and two chicken shawermas. The mansaf is a Jordanian traditional dish and the chef did an amazing job making it as authentic as possible. The shawerma was fresh, filling, and very good! Overall, the price was very reasonable and the service was great as the chef was kind and patient with us. “I was in the area, driving around super hungry, approaching closing hour for many places and I really didn't want A&W/McD/Popeyes etc. Saw the word Shawarma looked open and yay pulled in here...but they were at end of the day and nothing on the spit. What's a girl who knows virtually nothing about Turkish food options, and without reading glasses to see the menu well, to do? The nice people made me something and off I went with my little hot package, still not quite totally knowing what I had in store. So....yum hello a fluffy and crispy baked flatbread with edges folded over, nicely spiced beef, some cheese...ahah! I just gobbled it down. And now I know what Pide is! And even better have another good place to go when around Downsview.“

In my opinion, the place to go is Sofra Istanbul. If you are near Steeles Ave and Hwy 400, this restaurant is very well priced, fresh, tasty, has a wide variety and great service too!!!
It’s a middle eastern food emporium.

“One of the rare Turkish diners for golzleme. That's part of Turkish village breakfast menu but these guys have it and make it right. The rest of breakfast is complete, breads fresh, and a good spread. I go there all the time.“

“I am Korean Canadian with a pretty normal palate for food. I have become a regular here for the breads and pastry. In particular I love their personal sized pizzas and a tubular pastry that has feta and spinach Burek I think, I forget the name but absolutely the most crispy flaky and delicious breakfast I can have. Seems (pronounce Shems) is the gentlman usually behind the counter who is just the kindest man. They also have raw honey which my kids loved and I just tried the cherry drink. Good stuff especially for my gout. I am a customer for life~“

One star deducted cause the Traditional Turkish breakfast is served with bread which was not enough for our order. ordering extra bread comes with an extra charge which i think is unfair.“

It was my first time having this type of food and the man was very kind and explained everything to me 5/5 for service! Then when we ordered, the portions were huge!!! I got the meat combo plate and my buddy got the wrap, both tasted fantastic. The price point to quantity/ quality is huge!
