“If your friends or family recommend you to visit Duffs or Anchor Bar in Buffalo please make sure you visit Michael at Founding Fathers. It deserves to be in the top spots to visit in Buffalo. This is one of the best pub experiences in the entire US I have been. Michael is so knowledgeable in trivia and just a great character. The pub is filled with memorabilia of US presidents thru out the bar. This would be a place Anthony Bourdain would be proud to visit...Yeah I went their..“

“Food was great! Beef on weck, chicken wings, steak sandwich were all perfectly cooked and tasted great. Service was so unsatisfactory and the waitress truly gave a lackluster effort. I will gladly go to this place again as long as I get a different server.“

“I’ve lived down the street for a couple years and was pleasantly surprised to have such a great bar nearby. The food is excellent and when I don’t want to eat one of their delicious burgers or the Yard Bird (so yum!), they have very tasty vegetarian options. The Vegan club is so so yummy. The owner is awesome. The staff is awesome. Seafood Dan and his karaoke DJ skills are awesome. The regulars are chill and great conversationalists. There is regularly a game of cribbage happening. The interior is aesthetically pleasing with fun stuff to look at. What can I say? I love this place.“

“Came here on a wing night (75 cents per wing - with a minimum of 10 wings). Happily ordered the butter parmesan and although they had a nice selection of sauces, they were kind enough to make the honey barbecue sauce even though it wasn’t a selection. The blue cheese is house made and it’s DIVINE! We dipped our fries in it and were pleasantly happy. We also ordered the caesar salad and again, blown away by the freshness and taste. You won’t be disappointed, NYC native approved.“

“Went there for st. Patrick’s day. Couldn’t be more pleased. We had a reservation and got seated immediately. Service was fast and friendly and the food was out of this world. I think I’d sell my soul for more sticky toffee pudding. If you want an idea of their service I watched a man straight up slap a glass of beer out of the waitresses hands (he was a hand talker and it was an accident) and into the wall. She was super kind about it and someone (a manger or owner) came over and immediately changed out everything and cleaned everything up while the server got a new beer. Everyone was kind and quick about it and had I not happened to catch it out of the corner of my eye. they were so discrete Idt I would have. As a table we tried the Sheppards fries, the corned beef and cabbage, corned beef sandwich and sticky toffee pudding and all were incredible. Definitely will be back!“

“One of the best bars in town! Great food, atmosphere, and the owner is a 90s ATL Braves fan that would give this place 6 stars if it were an option. A "Must Visit" bar in the downtown area of Chippewa St.“

“Dwyer's wings are always great. We got the mild Cajun and loganberry BBQ. Yummy! We also ordered onion rings, which I was fairly disappointed at, considering I paid $10 for maybe 7 rings. I'm not sure that it was, but It may have been a full slice of an onion... FOR $10! Supercharger was playing and the music was great! The only downside to the atmosphere was one fairly inebriated woman kept smoking at the table next to us, even after the waitress directed her where to smoke. She was finally given a warning and then found her way over to the smoking area.“

“We loved Union before but now it is even better in the new location. The bar is awesome and there is a full dinning room now to come and enjoy a killer meal. I love the French onion soup, wings and of course Transit log!! Awesome downtown place!“

“We ordered the loaded nachos with chicken, light on cheese, and a stinger sub and fries last night. Delicious. Loved the food and the cheerful young girl who served us at the Drive thru window.“

“I always have an absolute blast every time I am here. The drinks are delicious and bartenders are absolutely amazing. Their upbeat personality and remembering what I am drinking really made me feel welcome.
They have seating at the bar and a few tables near the bar, and had a band play in the back room which was really interesting. They also have outdoor seating which is great in warm weather.
They offer food which I did not try but everything looked and smelled amazing.
The only negative is it is not handicapped accessible.“

“The lady bartender said that the reason why it has a dancing tomato on the business sign is because the owner who started the business was nicknamed “Tomato” because he had red hair and freckles and a round face and resembled a Tomato. Very chill atmosphere, very casual and laid back“

Sister Marie was a true delight to make anyone’s day better, especially if you are having a rotten day. God sincerely bless her kind and motherly soul. Do join her company over every Friday for she is a lovely bartender with such warmth and tenderness towards her locals,especially new people.“
“It's a quintessential dive bar. Not a big selection of hard liquor or beers but the essentials are there. The food menu wasn't too big either. Sadly they are a CASH ONLY place but the bartenders are great and on the ball with everything.“

“Between myself, the wife and father in law.... we could not find fault with the food. Everything was tasty and even though the waitress tried to warn me about the heat level of the Ring of Fire sauce, she was not condescending.
Needless to say the sauce was rather hot and had me gasping for air, but none the less was extremely tasty. The next time I'm down the area I will certainly be stopping by.“
