“FYI ... an all-you-can-eat style asian restaurant. service is provided by a combination of robots and staff. you order on an ipad/tablet and the food usually appears in small portions about 5 minutes later. I've been twice, and both times, the food was uniformly good to very good. I'm not really an all-you-can-eat type of customer, but it is an interesting experience with the robots (watching them navigate around people and each other) and is a good opportunity to try some new things. Servers are prompt and polite. The only negative would be that it's a little overpriced unless you have a big appetite. Will return. Only 3-stars on atmosphere, as it's a little generic.
Kid-friendliness: kids would get a kick out of the robots for sure.
Wheelchair accessibility: wide doors, 1-floor, no stairs“

“Sushi was really good. We tried to walk in and order, there was some confusion and then we were told to come back in an hour. There are a couple of small tables, but it really isn't an eat in place.
Next time we'll order ahead.“

“Delicious sushi with excellent service! There isn't much seating inside on a busy day but that adds to the atmosphere of the place in my opinion. The vegan sushi is so tasty. If it's a nice day out I recommend taking your meal to Major's Hill Park to fully take in the city.
Vegetarian options: The vegetarian options are excellent!
Dietary restrictions: Great options for everyone.“

“The sushi was very tasty! I have had other attempts to find good sushi in Ottawa, but this was just terrible! I thought that everything was already lost, but I gave a second chance to sushi in Ottawa and I am very glad that I chose this particular sushi. I was very pleased that you can add cream cheese to each roll, because I'm used to eating sushi with it. I was a little surprised by the size of the sushi, I have never seen such huge sushi in my life, so I advise you to pay attention to it, because we didn't eat everything at 3 and had to leave it for tomorrow. Thank you for the good service and delicious rolls, we really pleased you ???“

“Real street food, but homemade taste. Hard to explain. The food, the environment, the people, All amazing! We had the Salmon Poke Bowl, California Roll, and the Pork Dry Noodle. I shared with my wife and we left full! The couple is super nice and the food is very tasty!“

“Tried this place this evening around 5pm. Very small inside (only about 5-6 tables) and was empty when we arrived but got busier shortly after we arrived. The service was very quick and the server was nice, polite and attentive. The sushi and sashimi were both very fresh. The rice was also very fresh and none of our rolls crumbled. The sashimi slices were of decent size also. We had the boat for 2 and a red tuna maki roll - everything was fantastic! Would recommend and would definitely go back.“

“When I'm craving something fresh, but filling, and not too expensive, this place is it. Seriously good rice (which is often overlooked), and unbelievably tasty toppings.
They even have chirashi which is a massive blessing.
If you want something less healthy but maxed out on the salivatingly-tasty scale, the fried chicken bowl might be one of the most delicious things in downtown Ottawa. The small size (which isn't even small) is just $20 with tax included.
The staff is also always a joyful blessing.
This is a top spot.“

“Always fresh fishes! Impeccable quality, BEST SUSHIS in town! Delivery on time or before with smile always!
Dietary restrictions: I’m allergic to spicy spices so they pay attention to it. They split my meal from others to make sure I can eat safely!“

“I recently visited Browns Crafthouse-Glebe to catch up with a high school friend, and it was a fantastic experience! The atmosphere was lively, thanks to the live music, which added a fun vibe to our evening. Although it was a bit loud, I’ll know to request a table further from the singer next time.
The service was exceptional. I asked our server to surprise me with a cold alcoholic drink, and he delivered a super refreshing and delicious choice. What I appreciated most was the balance they struck between being attentive and giving us space. We never felt rushed or interrupted, which made our catch-up session even more enjoyable.
The food was another highlight. Everything was fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious. Browns Crafhouse-Glebe truly made us feel welcomed and comfortable. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great night out with friends!“

“We made a reservation since the spot is quite small so seating is limited. We got the Wasabi shrimp tempura, friend chicken Ramen and grilled chicken Ramen. The shrimp tempura was amazing. The mango sauce that came with it was delicious. I wanted abit more of the Wasabi flavour in the shrimp tempura but still tastes good. The broth for the Ramen could've been spicier but they do offer chilli oil. The fried chicken was good, no bones. I was not a fan of the grilled chicken though. Overall decent food and the decor inside is dope too.
Vegetarian options: Had vegetarian broth based Ramen options.
Dietary restrictions: They gave vegetarian and gluten free options.
Parking: Only street parking available and given that it is in little italy, you may have to get into the smaller side streets foe parking.“

“Delicious! I don’t think I’ve had sushi of this caliber outside of Japan. The ingredients are really top notch. It is a little pricy, but you definitely get what you pay for.
My only comment is that I was still a bit hungry after the 2 person Omakase, we ordered an extra roll from the menu and it was perfect.
The service was also top notch - it felt like we were hosted by close friends“

“Hidden sushi spot inside pomelo hat! Love that they have sushi available for takeout with friendly service! Got the salmon and tuna poke with spicy mayo and it was quite tasty! I personally found the portions slightly smaller than other poke restaurants (don’t give as much rice) but nonetheless still super filling!
Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian and pescatarian options available!
Parking: No actually parking lot, but lots of free street parking in neighbourhood streets in the back or paid parking during certain times on bank street.
Wheelchair accessibility: No, you have to go up a couple steps to get to store front and inside is a bit tight.“

“Whether Schrödinger's cat is dead or not has already been determined, but the observer cannot observe it through the box. Just like a two-dimensional creature on the refrigerator standing in the blank area of the refrigerator to observe the square picture posted on the refrigerator, only one side of the picture can be seen, and this side is no more than a wall blocking the line of sight. It makes it impossible to see what the pattern in the square picture is. But from our perspective, we can see at a glance that there is a strawberry pattern inside the square pattern. Going back to cats, if we, as three-dimensional creatures, master the tools to observe four-dimensional space, then we can know when the cat is alive or dead without opening the box.
If a two-dimensional biological scientist named "Ultraman" is studying this problem on the refrigerator one day and comes up with "Ultraman's Berry", then to them, this is our "Schrödinger's Cat". The easier way for him to draw conclusions is to go to the three-dimensional world and take a look at the refrigerator.
Copernicus once published the heliocentric theory and was treated poorly. I don’t want to be Copernicus, so I expressed my views in the comment section of the sushi restaurant.
From the above description of the problem, I believe it is not difficult to see that I am a reviewer who pays attention to objective things. The objectivity of the following comments about this store is also the same as above:
It’s a treat every time I come to Sushi Village! Whether it's fresh sashimi, creative sushi, or warm ramen, every dish reflects care and quality. The waiters are enthusiastic and attentive, and always provide thoughtful suggestions, making every meal a breeze.
The restaurant's environment is warm and elegant, especially suitable for gatherings with friends or romantic dates. What's even better is that the price is also very reasonable and the price-performance ratio is super high!
It is highly recommended to try their special sushi rolls and daily selection of sashimi, which will definitely keep you coming back for more!
If you are a sushi lover, you can’t miss All You Can Eat at Sushi Village! There is a rich variety of dishes, including not only fresh sashimi and various sushi, but also hot dishes, tempura and ramen, etc., which fully meet the needs of various tastes.
Vegetarian options: A variety of vegetarian food is available“

“I happened to stop by on my way to Quebec and it was really delicious!! I had the roll combo and the salmon combo, and both were very delicious. I guess they made the soy sauce themselves, but it wasn't salty and it was so delicious!! I'll stop by again if I come back to “

“My daughter had the double salmon and she told me it was among the best Sushi ? she has ever had.
They have a varied menu with an assortment of Japanese beverages and mochi and made to order sesame balls.
It's a really nice location with plenty of natural light and feels roomy thanks to the high ceilings.
We also found the prices not to be unreasonable for the quality of the ingredients.“

“Tasty but not too special. Maybe because I’m visiting from Toronto, and the sushi game there is much more competitive. $75 for this tray’s quantity and quality, you can get more in Toronto. Sushi chef’s skills can be more refined - you can see in the picture they are rougher on the edges compared to most sushi places, and each roll was loosely wrapped, kept falling apart on me.
That being said, I enjoyed the taste. We ordered the Favourite 5 Tray. Big boss roll was my husband’s favourite, it has these fried yam flakes on top that was a nice texture in your mouth. My favourite was the Sp salmon roll - I like big chunks of fish in one bite. Oshi always tastes good who doesn’t like torched sushi, but I’ve had more refined versions elsewhere.“

“This place has been my boyfriend and I’s go to spot for a few years. We never get tired of this place! It’s small, cozy and the paintings are super cute. Sometimes they play Studio Ghibli soundtracks and it’s awesome.
The food is amazing, always tastes fresh. They have the best tempura and miso soup, and the citrus roll is to die for. The employees are so nice and have given us food on the house a few times.
Couldn’t recommend this place more!!“

“First of all, the service is fantastic. The two ladies are always very kind ( they might give you a little extra as well ). The food is delicious, the best in the area, and it gets done quickly. The only downside is that it's in a university cafeteria, so there's a lot of people around, and it's noisy.“

“Festival Japan Restaurant has great food, no question. Their tempura is the best I’ve had, and their sushi is delicious (not to mention that new Izakaya Bar is fabulous!) Oh! And they enthusiastically support live music!! We all benefit from their great generosity! Hands down, it’s Festival Japan’s friendly and personalized service that makes it so special. Everyone works hard to make sure the customer has a great experience, and in how many places are you greeted and served by the owner?! Way to go, Samantha Liu. You, your staff & your restaurant are awesome! People come in as customers and leave as friends. 💖“

“We stopped in for lunch on our drive home from Quebec to Sudbury. It seemed fairly busy, yet our food arrived seemingly instantaneously. The staff are so kind and welcoming. What really stood out to me was how fresh everything was. The avocado was such high-quality, something hard come by in Sudbury. Everything we ordered was well prepared and just leagues above what we're used to being served at home. We will return. Thank you!“

“The sushi i had was great, but unfortunately that's all I could have they don't have any gluten free dishes or ones that are prepared without sauce with gluten. They did have some gluten free soy sauce for me to dip my sushi in.
Others in my party had many different dishes and loved them all.
Dietary restrictions: No gluten free options other than certain sushi rolls that simply don't contain gluten.“
“I enjoyed a very pleasant meal, General Tao's chicken, with a side of white rice (additional charge), and the Pepper Soft shell crab appetizer at Bambu's. My dining colleagues had a variety of dishes which were all also enjoyed. Service was friendly and attentive, and the TGIF wine special FANTASTIC. Bambu is a nicely decored restaurant and highly recommended for a nice casual meal“
“I would like to say thank you to the team last night (Oct. 11, 2024) I received excellent service, I had a little problem with one of my takeaway meals and as a result, the manager at the cash register was sensitive to the situation and even at a very busy time she took the time to redo the entire dish in addition to following up to find out if everything was good because I ate there.
I really enjoyed it ☺️ well done for your welcome and thank you again.
Unfortunately no supporting evidence, I don't have a photo because I only thought about it at the end ?“

“I've been in search of decent sushi that won't break my bank (since I'd rather have decent sushi more regularly). And I'm glad I got sushi from sushi 29. It's a small takeout sushi joint that tbh didn't really scream out fresh food, but I was pleasantly surprised and was very glad to find this spot. Don't get me wrong. I still have few spots on my list to try but sushi 29 was a "I'll come back" from my list.
We ordered maki roll combo A (cali, sp tuna, salmon rolls), two breaded shrimps, tamago (egg) roll and imitation crab roll for my toddler, unagi and ikura and scallop nigiris, and some squid and salmon sashimi. Rolls were alright. Good bite size and not too much rice on them. The rice was also not undercooked or overcooked. Decent size fish in them too. My toddler had the egg roll and I cut them in half to be smaller, which he ate very well. Not so much crab roll though.
Nigiris and sashimi were quite fresh and the price for them was quite good. If anything, the price for the sushi here was cheaper than in BC so I was quite happy to find a spot that didn't have a California roll that wasn't over $10 (seemed to be a norm in ottawa which is bizarre). The sp tuna roll wasn't spicy though. But again, this seemed to be another norm in ottawa - spicy stuff not being really spicy? Breaded shrimps were alright. Not the typical Japanese style tempura but more like store bought shrimpies. Kinda reminded me a smaller version of shrimp tempura in the shrimp tacos from Costco. Iykyk.
Anyway we will be back. It was good and much better than sushi kan lol.“
