“Astoria is a wonderful vegan spot with delicious options. I ordered the Avocado Croffle, and my friend had the Smoked Salmon Benny. The presentation of the dishes is very gourmet, and the flavors are amazing. You can pair your meal with drinks like a cappuccino, hot chocolate, or even a mimosa. The service is great, and the atmosphere is very pleasant. Highly recommended! 🌱☕✨“

Wheelchair accessibility: Although there appears to be no dedicated wheelchair parking, there is plenty of room in the parking lot to accommodate all types of accommodations for those with mobility issues. Unfortunately the doors are not automatic and do not feature a press button open.“

“Delicious! And I'm a meat eater! Their smash burger party was more juicy and more flavourful than most meat burgers I've had lately. The hash browns were crispy, and the chocolate shake had tons of chocolate in it. Wonderfully rich! The place was clean. We enjoyed the digital menu since you can customize everything to your liking.“

“My family enjoyed a take-out meal last night from Sula Wok. I would describe it as incredibly tasty, evocative flavours, large portion sizes and generally a fantastic gastronomical delight! The chicken samosas were the best I have had anywhere in Ottawa, in short - awesome. The mango-ginger sauce for the samosas was also exceptional. My entrèe was the Tibetan Fried noodles with tofu. The portion was generous and carefully prepared. The spices were delightful, the vegetables were fresh, plentiful and throughout the meal rather than just placed on top. Every bite was delicious. Thank you Sula Wok for the best take-out meal I have enjoyed in years! I highly recommend this restaurant. It definitely deserves a five star rating.“

“I don’t think we ever ate so well in a restaurant, and it’s not an overstatement. We were looking for whole foods, healthy and nutritious options and… well, we found this place, and it didn’t disappoint. Everything felt so fresh, made on the spot, with a simple menu of vegan and vegetarian options changing every day and according to the season. The atmosphere is also really relaxing and people working here are so nice. I wish we lived in Ottawa to come back to this place more often. We need more places like this!“

“Huge ice cream portions and absolutely lovely staff! I asked which flavour would pair well with blueberry and was able to try three different samples to pick from, receiving recommendations as well!

I went at 7pm and there was hardly any queue, but I know from walking past it does get very busy at times.

The gelato itself was so smooth and creamy, definitely recommend!“

Our server was remarkably knowledgeable about every dish on the menu and demonstrated an impressive understanding of the wine list, including why each pairing worked so well with the food. She consistently went the extra mile, which elevated the entire evening. We chose the tasting menu, and it was outstanding. Each course was executed at a truly international standard—excellent flavours, thoughtful combinations, and beautifully paced. This is a destination for anyone who expects a high-level dining experience; it easily stands beside top-rated restaurants globally. And then the desserts—the highlight of the night. Desserts are often where even great restaurants fall short, but not here. The meal ended with a remarkable finale: creative, balanced, and technically superb. A huge compliment to the pâtissière. “This was my second time ordering a birthday cake from Chippers, and this time I went with the ube cake for my own birthday. The flavor, texture, and vibrant colour were all spot on — it tasted amazing and wasn’t overly sweet, which I really appreciated.

My only comment is that the buttercream frosting was a bit much for me, although others may enjoy a heavier frosting.

I also ordered the butter tart cookie and the oatmeal raisin cookie — zero regrets. Both were delicious and paired perfectly with a cup of tea.“

“This was my favorite restaurant in Ottawa, when I worked at NRC. It was always a delight to visit with Margaret and Buddy, in addition to the wonderful food! I recommend this to anyone.“

“We had a couple of cupcakes, Holiday Party Pants and Chocolate Orange. We had the Homemade Hot Cocoa and the London Fog.
The cupcakes were great, very moist and tasty. The cocoa was also very good. We found the London Fog's brand of tea a bit bitter, but otherwise it was good.
The person that served us was friendly and efficient.
Bring cash for tips as their POS machine doesn't give that option.“

“Wonderful, inclusive folks! Very nice staff, who were very helpful. This may seem like an odd thing to say, but it was really great that they made sure they rented an accessible portable washroom for their large market event. As I was sporting crutches (I recently broke my ankle), it was a total life saver that I didn’t need to take the stairs! Not sure if the port-a-potty is an “always” thing, but just the fact that they had it for their street market when so many folks wouldn’t even think of it made me grateful. Thank you for being the loveliest hosts! I’m not a coffee or tea drinker, but I’ll certainly tell all my friends about how kind the staff were!“

I rarely go to Lansdowne since it's a little out of the way for me but I'm glad I went to Craft tonight. The bartender, Cole, was super fun and friendly. He chatted with me and my buddy and made us feel welcome as hell. I didn't eat anything there tonight but I would go back just for the service!

2025 Visit:
Visited Craft again after attending the Christmas Market in Lansdowne. This time was taken care of by Colin! He was super nice and took wonderful care of us and deserves a million shout outs! Had some snacks and drinks during Happy Hour, they have some really solid deals.“
