“We had such a wonderful experience at Bethune’s Bistro! We had checked out of our B&B at 11 a.m. but weren’t leaving Gravenhurst until a couple of hours later, and unfortunately it was absolutely pouring rain outside.

I’m so sorry that I didn’t get the name of the lovely gentleman who was working yesterday. He was an older gentleman and truly such a kind soul. He was incredibly welcoming and patient with us and allowed us to stay for a while without ever making us feel rushed or like we were taking up space. His kindness really meant a lot to us, especially on such a rainy day when we had some time to fill before leaving town.

On top of that, the food was wonderful! We had such a lovely, relaxing time there, and it ended up being the perfect place to spend our last few hours in Gravenhurst. Wonderful food, genuine hospitality, and such a warm experience overall. We will absolutely be back the next time we’re in the area. Highly recommend! ❤“

“Beautiful terrace and nice atmosphere. I do think they can be a bit more selective on the live musicians they chose, especially in the peak of summer. The first night we went the music was great (Friday, Aug 5). Then we wanted to go back on Aug 6, but the music turned us off. It just truly didn’t feel right for a Gastro Pub. We enjoyed a good meal and in my opinion it was good value. Their truffle fries are good, but I think they can be better if they’re slightly less cooked. They seemed dried out and not super fresh. But from a taste perspective they were good.“

“I love vegetarian Thai red curry with tofu and usually order that whenever I'm in a Thai restaurant.
This dish is light, flavourful and filled with fresh veggies.
Served with rice (included) on the side.
If you like it spicier, ask for their (complimentary) hot sauce condiment.
All at an affordable price. If you are with someone and want only a smaller meal, you could easily share this. I couldn't help but devour it all in one sitting!“

“The staff here are so helpful and really want you to have a great meal! I have Celiac disease and need a very strict gluten free diet and they were very knowledgeable and caring. They went thru the menu with me and prepared my meal safely. I am so grateful for this location's staff. I will definitely be referring and back! Each experience has been amazing!
