“Had a 2 piece cod and chips meal with coleslaw.$18.95. Best fish and chips I have had in a while. Cod was crispy and not overly battered. Good size pieces as well. Too much for me but as the cod was thick it reheated in airfryer the next day beautifully. Now my favorite go to for fish and chips in Hamilton. I want to amend this to say there are new owners as of 2025 and they have changed the menus. This review was from previous owner.“

“Went here for breakfast today with a friend of mine. I got an item from the special menu which was eggs benedict with turkey, sausage and avocado on Brie , and as you can see from the picture, it was really good. I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast and I had my tea. The water was hot,

Very friendly staff. Really nice restaurant. Very warm. You could actually take your coat off and sit very comfortably. Lighting was really nice. Seating was good, not too busy“

“This Swiss Chalet on York Street in Hamilton is hands-down the best… better than the Burlington location, better than Queenston, and better than the one up on James. The food here always comes out piping hot, and the service is fantastic. I wish the other locations ran with the same level of efficiency and quality. The staff are always friendly, and there’s a great guy named Yasin who really makes the place stand out.“

Type of place and crowd who mind their own business and know one another. Not the cheapest place but I like my hot hamburger and the all day breakfast/lunch menus are a nice option“
