If you don't mind some flavor, there's not much you can go wrong with at this shop. One other person has mentioned the food is greasy. That's not accurate. A lot of it's oily, not greasy. It's Sichuan food, and that's normal for Sichuan food; it allows the flavor to spread throughout the food.

The beef cuts they use are catered more for an Asian taste. They're chewy and fatty so as to impart the most amount of flavor.

I've been going to this place regularly since it opened because it's right next door to our office. I've never once had a visit where I had to wait a long time for food. The other fellow that had to wait a long time for food must have just hit them on a really bad day or something. The longest I've had to wait is 15 to 20 minutes, and that was on a super busy day before covid hit for the pineapple fried rice.

They also have another location on Dundas just east of Hurontario. Hamilton is their second location.

This shop is in my top three Chinese restaurants in Hamilton, and quite possibly my number one. My favorite dish here is the dumplings and chili oil. BEST DUMPLINGS EVER!

“We purchased a variety of soups at the Holiday One of a Kind show to include in baskets we make for family. It was a great deal and Julie at the booth is a great rep. Yesterday, we soaked the beans for the Curried Bean & Sweet potato soup. Today we made the soup in a crock pot then blended it with some coconut milk and butter. This is the best soup I’ve ever had and I eat a lot of soup! We are looking forward to doing the Lazy Man Lentil Soup and then the Chuckwagon Chili. Thank you for a fabulous soup for a cold winter day!“

I decided to give it a try, and it turned out to be the best Hakka experience we had in years. The food was fresh and clean, without being overloaded with MSG like many other Hakka places. From the fried rice to the dry chilli fish, Hakka noodles, and soup, each dish had a unique taste and fantastic flavor. Unlike other Hakka spots where everything tastes the same, this place really stood out. The chicken was tender, with a light batter that made it soft and easy to eat, not hard or chewy. “The staff were incredible above all else. I have worked in Mapleview for over a decade, and experienced the different owners and teams.
I asked if they had a kids size portion of something without meat or dairy.
They immediately asked if I was vegan, and then told me what ingrients they could put together and make something delicious for me - kids sized. I hadn't even asked for that or if it was possible.
Not only did they have the thought and courtesy to this, I wasn't treated as a burden for asking the initial.question.
