Overall food was cooked perfectly, only small thing to note was it was a bit under seasoned, but otherwise very good food and would definitely recommend coming here. Ambiance could be improved - the big room in the back although designed very nicely, is a bit overwhelmed by a very large black wall. A few pictures or mirrors and this wall would shine and the room would feel so much more welcoming. Great experience overall and will be back for special occasions.“

“Wow! A hidden gem I must say. Food and service were unmatched.

First we were greeted with bruschetta and a cheese/bread/olive platter. For apps we had the burrata and caesar salad — it was served directly on our plate… chefs kiss. Then for mains we had the surf & turf and paccheri gamberi — all I can say is WOW. Finally, for dessert we had crème brûlée and bread pudding.. a cherry on top to the meal.

Overall, we had an amazing dinner — great experience, definitely will be back!

I’ve been coming to Westend Grill for a couple of years now, and it’s one of those places that never lets you down. The food here just hits the spot every single time.

The chicken wings are perfectly crisp on the outside and tender inside — and that honey garlic sauce? Absolute perfection. Sweet, sticky, and addictive in the best way possible. The steak pasta feels like pure comfort — creamy, rich, and packed with flavor in every bite. Then there’s the Angus beef burger, which is simply next-level — juicy, smoky, and built just right. And the chicken parmesan? It’s got that real homemade Italian feel — golden crust, melty cheese, and just the right tang in the sauce.

“We went for dinner as a group of 16 pax. Akriti is a star server, very polite and friendly. She managed the whole group very well.
Menu at ESM is very good. Kids menu is good and value for money as well. Our kid had cheese pizza, orange juice and gummies for dessert. For mains, Akriti suggested cheese cappelletti in arrabiata sauce. It tasted very good. Main dishes are served with all-you-can eat bread loaf, soup and salad. We had roasted garlic tomato soup. Soup was very tasty. We will come back again to try other dishes“

“I’ve been to this restaurant several times. Food is absolutely amazing and for this reason alone I will return. But as far as the owner is concerned … was very disappointed how he treated us. He basically kicked us out of our seats. The couple sitting next to us who were there already when we were seated were still there enjoying their time yet Walter asked my friend and I to leave because he had the next guests waiting. My guess is he had no problem asking us to leave because we were two females hence the reason he felt he could bully us, however, it would be a different story had he asked a couple to leave. Long story short, not impressed with Walter to say the least but food is exceptional!!“

Restaurant was very clean and beautiful atmosphere... reminded me of the many times my family would gather together for family reunions, at fancy restaurants, when I was a kid. “We had a family event last night at their restaurant. I can't stress how great the value is here, and the food quality was top shelf. I have eaten food cooked by some of the best chefs in the world and this was every bit as good. the staff were attentive but not at all intrusive. very accommodating for our large group of 15 people. Their shrimp and calamari platter was cooked perfectly, not at all rubbery, with a divine sauce to dip. Pasta nicely al denté. Calabrese antipasto, nice bread spread. Perfect, and I do mean PERFECTLY, cooked steak, chicken, and sausages. Their pizza is simple but lovely balanced between crisp and chewy. Not too thick, not too thin. Arancini were great. I highly recommend them for your next family event, or just a quiet night out for the family! Thank you to all the staff and the chef for making our family event a success, and we look forward to seeing you again soon!“

Last night, we had the pleasure of celebrating two of our family members at Zafferano Ristorante. Although we're not from Toronto and had never been to this restaurant before, our friends had booked a large section of the venue for over 30 guests—so we really didn’t know what to expect.

What followed was nothing short of amazing.

We started the evening with some beautifully crafted cocktails. The drinks were delicious, and our waiter was quick to offer creative twists on our usual favourites—setting the tone for the night ahead.

When it came time to sit down for dinner, the experience only got better. They kept bringing out plate after plate until we could barely move! The food was phenomenal: every dish was full of flavour, perfectly served at the right temperature, and visually stunning.

A special shoutout to our waiter, Alex. He was outstanding—attentive without being intrusive, always ensuring our glasses were full and that every new course arrived with perfect timing.

It was an incredible night and the perfect way to kick off our vacation. We left with full stomachs, happy hearts, and memories we’ll talk about for a long time.“

The photos are the Calamari to start, amazing not to salty, very flavourful. The special was straciatella with spinach and tortellini. Amazing soup and the portion was filling for an appetizer I was quite shocked. They also gave us 2 servings of bread (which many places do not do that). For the mains we had the mushroom risotto, very rich, flavourful and creamy perfect amount of seasoning. Not too watery like most places. The veal chop with a SIDE of penne alla vodka was mouthwatering and cooked to perfection. I wanted to try 2 different dishes so they accommodated for me to get 2 different pastas (shows in photo 4) for the price of one dish. The handmade gnocchi with meat sauce was amazing and full of flavour and my second choice was the penne alla vodka and I was very happy and satisfied with my choice. I have never been to a place where I could get 2 great portioned and flavourful dishes for the price of one!!! The veal Parmesan and penne à la vodka was to die for and was cooked perfectly not full of fat like some other places that I have been toO!! The tiramisu dessert was amazing along with the pistachio, lemon and tarrone was very light, yummy and sweet!! The service was amazing. The accommodations that we were able to make along with the portion size sizes is very rare to find and made the experience 100% better. I would for sure recommend doing a party or coming here for special occasions or just something casual!!!“
