“I went here for lunch the beginning of October after having read good reviews and figuring it would be a good new spot to try out, and the menu looked interesting enough.
Wow! Both my Dad and I were more than impressed with our meals, and the servers and other customers as well. Everyone was very friendly!
We both had their soup of the day to start, which was loaded potatoe soup with real potatoes, bacon, cheese and sour cream on top.
My Dad got the roast beef dip sandwich with au jus and fries. I had the hot honey fried chicken burger and fries and gravy on the side.
Oh my goodness the flavors of both meals were beyond what either of us expected. They know how to make food there!
We both said we will definitely be back again, and will recommend it to others.
My Dad had already recommended to my brother that same day!
There was enough for a box to bring half of my Dad's beef sandwich home.
Next time we won't have soup and hopefully have enough room to try their sticky toffee pudding!
Thank you to everyone at Canoe & Paddle for making our lunch so enjoyable.

“First impression... okay so this restaurant has a very plain and simple atmosphere like many take out places with counter ordering only! However, there is ample seating for dining in as well. Once the very pleasant owner greeted us, explained the posted menu and took our order of the Chicken Souvlaki dinner with boiled potatoes (not fries), rice, and Greek salad for me and my husband, we went to our table and hoped for the best!! Well, there definitely was no need to be concerned because what we were served was delicious and more than ample in quantity!! The chicken was tender and nicely seasoned, the rice was fluffy, the potatoes were firm but properly cooked and the Greek salad perfectly dressed (not soggy!) plus, the in-house made Tzatziki sauce was excellent!! We highly recommend the Souvlaki Pit Restaurant and extend our thanks to the owners for a job well done!! Karen and Jamie from Lindsay, Ontario“

“We have been enjoying many meals at Berc’s over the past 6 years. We always look forward to our trips to Peterborough and Berc’s is always the highlight of the trip. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is welcoming and the staff is always friendly and accommodating! The menu selection is superb and the soup, in our opinion, is worth the trip. In the rating system we would rate Berc’s at a 10++.“

“Moving from BC had us looking for an authentic cracker-crust pizza for 1.5 years. Highly recommend. Ready for pick up in 20 minutes, fresh and delicious. LOVE the marker decorated boxes too. 🫶🙏🏻“

“This is a rare find in today's sea of chain restaurants making the same tasteless processed crap in each location. A family owned, independently run restaurant. We needed a quick bite and Peterborough doesn't have a lot going on. I got a chicken souvlaki pita. I don't eat sauce and I'm usually disappointed by the chicken. At Ace's the large chunks of white chicken were flavorful and juicy with a distinct grilled taste. The wrap was also nicely charred. Fresh cut veggies on my wrap and my husband's sub. A great spot. Cash only though which I wouldn't have had except we were on vacation. We never carry cash.“

“Discovered WH Peterborough at the start of this year and I am addicted to it. Great sports bar space, extensive menu with lots of options for everyone. The staff are all great, super friendly and welcoming as is the owner. Cold beer, lots of TV's, but THE WINGS, omg they are delicious. Soooo many flavours and so well cooked. I love food and finding great spots, especially wings. HANDS DOWN the best wings in town and i have tried them all. Everytime i am there the takeout drivers are in and out so word is getting out even for take-outs eats, fantastic. They even have some stellar deals most nights of the week. Go check it out!“

“Have lived in PTBO my whole life but for whatever reason had never tried Yee's, ordered tonight at around 10pm and although delivery was a tad bit delayed the food quality more than made up for it. Best Sesame Chicken in PTBO hands down, Pizza Roll was great too. Very flavorful, had great crunch and was very clearly FRESHLY made. Will order again.“

“Stopped by the place last Saturday afternoon after a long drive through Peterborough and the bowl I got, the Thai Peanut with extra tofu, was packed fresh and still warm. The staff behind the counter moved fast but still took time to explain a couple of menu swaps I asked about, which I appreciated since I was in a rush. Seating was limited around 2pm but I managed to grab a spot by the window, and the space felt clean and bright rather than cramped. Parking out front was easy to find too, which is rare for a strip like that, and overall it was a solid, reliable stop for a quick healthy lunch on the road.“

“The Cody Inn is an institution and it shows in every crevice. Don't expect fancy dining here, but rather look forward to authentic and simple Chinese fare served by efficient, smiling people. We enjoyed the Singapore noodles, Shrimp and vegetables and Beef with broccoli. We're not so much into fried food but their General Tao's chicken looked amazing. Portions are sizeable. It's a funky place with lots of history and we will be back.“

“During non-Covid times, loved eating there. So busy. Tonight's take-out Halibut & Chips were far from good. The halibut was not fresh and had a spoiled taste. So disappointing. Will wait til they are open and food is fresher.“
