“This is by far the best greasy spoon breakfast restaurant in the whole county. I drive from the city to come here for breakfast once a week that is how good it is. Family run with fantastic service you wont find any where else. I recommend the Lumberjack breakfast special its more than you can handle.Parking: 10+ parking across the street“

“Glance up at the original tin ceiling. Look down at the old, original hardwood floors and imagine the stories they could tell. This is a quaint little restaurant in a small town serving freshly prepared quality homemade food. Portions are generous. Service is friendly and efficient. And you certainly won't go wrong ordering one of their breakfast items here. They can fry or poach a perfect egg here. I Love their Greek Skillet!“
“We had to go to Essex for my husband to have a procedure at the Clinic there and after the procedure, my husband was so hungry from fasting, that we went to The Main Street Diner. We had stopped there one other time and found the service to be good and the food was hot and delicious so we decided to try The Main Street Diner again! We really enjoyed our breakfast, the great service, the hot food, and the very fresh coffee.“

“4 of us came in for a late dinner and we noticed they had perch as one of the features. We couldn't believe how huge the portion size was. We had very friendly and professional service throughout the whole experience. We gladly took home leftovers. Such a great menu. Definitely will be back again.“

“Back country old school family diner! Real deal home cookin'.Lasagna soup was incredible! The hanger made burger patty is second to none in the county. Generous portions. Hand cut French fries were a marvelous surprise treat. The toasted western omelette sandwich was as perfect as they get.Having cooked for a living I still couldn't do better than the fare offered here. Everything was a delight.Service was great. Place was busy with the lunch crowd regulars and we still got excellent service. ?The antiques shop off the dining room is full of fill items. Made a couple small purchases. We'll be back for sure. ?Structure is not built for wheelchair accessibility but the coming from is spacious enough. Really loved the decor. Antique and vintage tables and chairs made it feel like visiting with friends rather than a restaurant. Restrooms clean and fresh. This one's a backroads gem ?Wheelchair accessibility: Sadly no. The structure was built at a time without with this in mind. Once inside the dining room a wheelchair could manage to navigate fairly well. The antique shop is not accessible at all. Stairs up to the entry and the door itself are not conducive to accessibility.“
