“I think of myself as a somewhat a regular. I go in 3-4 times a month to pickup 6-12 beer, ( varied and interesting selection). I often have a poured pint or two, and a bag of crisps. It's got a nice vibe, the staff a friendly and helpful.”

“Warm and comfortable atmosphere, fantastic food, and delicious beer. Everything is sourced locally and offers a nice variety of items to choose from. There is also a nice patio beside the river and plenty of parking in the back.”

“Absolutely love their kombucha! We use to make our own as we always found other companies were too vinegary and by making our own we could control the strength of the vinegariness. Loon kombucha is soooo SMOOTH! The flavours are amazing (you cannot go wrong) and you don't need to worry about that alcoholic / vinegar taste.Although all the flavours are great we highly recommend the lemon ginger flavour. Our least favourite is the lemongrass but it's still great.You can really tell how much we like it as my wife alone drinks 3.5 L of this a week and we do their really affordable refills every Sunday at the Memorial Centre Market.”

“My husband and I had lunch at Michael’s Table today. It was soooo delicious. Best restaurant food we have had in a long long time. The small plates were 1/2 off, which we didn’t know until we got there. We shared mussels, my husband had the shrimp appetizer and I had the absolutely amazing fish tacos. Highly recommend. The staff was great and the restaurant was clean and cosy.”

“I saw an add in EDIBLE OTTAWA for the Picnic Cafe in Perth. My husband and I were looking for a place to have a bowl of soup and a sandwich for lunch. The Cafe is on the southwest edge of the city of Perth. We were pleasantly surprised. It was clean and bright with good seating and lots of parking. We ordered the "THAI inspired" Butternut Squash soup and we shared a tuna sandwich. It was delicious. While we were there several people walked in to order "take-out'. Staff are super friendly and very helpful. We ordered blueberry scones to bring home and they did not disappoint. We will definitely return the next time we go to Perth.”

“My niece was recently married in Perth and the wedding dinner was held at Maximilian Restaurant. I have always been impressed by the quality of the food and the wonderful service but Joan and her staff truly outdid themselves on this special occasion. They had closed the dining room to the public as we were a large group. From the moment we entered we were made to feel welcome. We were greeted by friendly staff and a beautifully decorated venue. The appetizers were unique, beautifully presented and mouthwatering. We had been offered options for the main course and everyone enjoyed their delicious meal. ( many of us had to take home what we could not eat - the portions are very generous) Dessert did not disappoint either. The staff were very busy ensuring that no one was kept waiting and they were able to deliver meals quickly, efficiently - and always with a smile. The bartenders were kept busy as well and the drinks were great. Joan circulated around the room several times to speak with guests and ensure that everyone was happy with their meal choice, the drinks and the service - and we were ! Thanks very much Joan and all staff - servers, chefs, kitchen staff and bartenders - as well all the people behind the scenes who helped make this occasion even more memorable for this very special couple. Everything was wonderful!”

“Visit April 2, 2024 for coffee a d snacks. Mobility impaired accessible with free 2-hour street parking. Wonderful location in downtown Perth with a seasonal seating outside, covered with a view of the river. Excellent quality coffee and an assortment of pastries. Friendly staff a d good atmosphere. Clean washrooms available.”

“Today our family dropped in at the Red Fox for supper , 3 adults and 5 children under 6. “The pizza was delicious especially the crust. It is the best crust that I have had in years. They were very generous on the toppings and the cheese tasted like real cheese unlike other franchises that use a high cellulose based "cheese". This is our 2 nd time that we have ordered from this pizza place and we are not disappointed with the outcome. We will order from them again when we return to Perth. “Had a couple children looking for pizza for supper & being from 2.5 hours out of town, this place was recommended. Called from about half an hour out of town and placed order for pepperoni, bacon, black and green olives with a female who promptly put me on hold for almost 10 minutes before taking my order, which I understood being right at supper time, no worries. Waited about 20 more minutes once we’d arrived and paid for the pizza, just hoping it’s worth the wait! They even provided paper plates, napkins and utensils if needed. One of my girls asked if she could eat the dough ball that was in the middle of the pizza but, it turned out to be rock hard and made noise when tapped on the table. A couple bites into the pizza we realized that there weren’t any green olives but they were there on the invoice. Tried to check at the cash to see if they could rectify the mishap but the girl didn’t acknowledge me at all, no eye contact, no “be with you in a minute” or anything so I waited a few more minutes and then called out to another girl and asked her if there was a manager that I could speak with and she promptly called to the three men making pizza to say that “she wants to speak to a manager”. One of them came over with another looking closely on. He asked what he could do for me and I mentioned that I’d paid for green olives but they weren’t on my pizza so, what could be done to rectify this. He suggested giving me a credit for the next time I placed an order but since I don’t live local I asked if they have any green olives that we could have. They did, and provided a large container for us to share and they offered complimentary drinks from the cooler. Yummy pizza, don’t touch the dough balls though, quality management and nice environment. Will definitely order here again.”

“Drove to the bakery today. Fabulous, friendly and very knowledgeable about anything I inquired about. Happily brought home 2 very soft loaves of bread, a butter tart square and a bag of gravy thickener and a bread mix. Everything was gluten and dairy free along with free of other allergens too. Only had a slice of bread so far and it’s delicious!”

“We came visit family and we just choose a spot on the way. It was a nice surprise. We had the beef vermicelli bowl, the singapore noodle and and general tao chicken. Service was so quick, friendly and helpful staffs. The food was very good, and the springroll is to die for! Definitely would come back again when we have a chance.”
