“I’m originally from Lanark and bought a cottage on Joe’s Lake afew years ago. Yesterday evening, I was on my way up with my wife and our two small babies to get a few things done at the cottage. I had cash on me, but mostly $100 bills. I placed an order and luckily it only came to around $30, which was all the smaller cash I had.

When I went to pick up the order, there had been a small miscommunication and only one iced tea was included. I mentioned that I needed a second one and would have to use my card to pay for it, but she insisted I just take it and pay another time.

I was extremely grateful. Not many people extend that kind of kindness and generosity these days. It genuinely meant a lot. We’ll definitely be stopping back throughout the summer whenever my family and I are heading up to the cottage“

“Fries are so good. Crunchy bits and soft centres. Delicious!! His home made corn dogs are huge and so tasty. Fluffy batter that gets golden and crispy. You can choose hot dogs or sausages. Worth the stop every time you’re close by(or not). Good place to stop before golfing at Timber Run or Blue Heron!“

It must be very difficult in these times when restaurants have to deal with homeless taking over restrooms.“
