“We went to our reservation for a tasting January 11. Cathy Roy had such nice manners to meet us out front and welcomed us inside for our tasting. The wines we tried, mostly red, and the Chardonnay were delicious! Cathy had time, knowledge and friendliness to give us a very pleasant experience. Thank you Cathy, you made a difference.”

“My family recently dealt with a car accident across the road from Boo’s that had us waiting in our cars and the cold for 2+ hours. One of the owners or workers first offered us a warm place to stay and a free meal while we waited for the tow truck, and after we politely declined due to the truck arriving soon, the same gentleman came out 20 minutes later with water bottles and breakfast sandwiches (on the house). Such a generous and kind gesture that proves there are some truly amazing people out there!”

“Went for the first time to see The Jasmine T Duo, three of us started with Spinach and Asiago Dip, followed by Asian Steak Salad, Mediterranean Asaiago Chicken and a Baked Three Cheese Tortelliani.Food was Awesome and served in a timely fashion by our Awesome server Kelly!Had such a Great evening we made reservations for the next event!Can’t wait until summer to check out their outdoor patio when out for a summer drive!Keep up the Great Service and Great Food!!P.S. “Went for a random lunch, stunning atmosphere with amazing views on the pond and ravine in the back. Great service, made us feel very wellcomed. I had a steak and frites which was excellent and cooked to perfection while my partner had the full chefs daily menu and she was absolutely satisfied. Great value for the flight of wines and generous pours. Will definitely come back.”

“Excellent restaurant in a beautiful setting. Enjoyed a delicious appetizer terrine of ham hock layered with collard leaf followed by simple but elegant duck breast entree, cooked to perfection. What a treat to find such attention to detail. Better yet, kitchen was happy to accommodate low carb (which is so easy because it's just swapping out starchy carbs). “We just had lunch. I’ll breakdown the dishes, service and my overall impression and come to a conclusion.We had 3 dishes …I had the Salmone e Asiago. While I’m not a fan of risotto, this risotto was filled with little pieces of shrimp which was a delightful surprise. I liked it! Plus, the salmon was encrusted with a light layer of bread crumbs and Asiago cheese. It was tasty. I received a bit of veggie, carrots & zuchinni. My only preference would have been to include the salmon skin for the extra omega 3s and some extra crunch but, as is common in North American cuisine, nobody wants to do the extra work and descale the fish. My only small pet peeve and frankly I’m not targeting Just Cooking. Many, many places do this. Even many grocery stores won’t descale and, left to our own devices, we throw the skin out rather than descale. But I digress!My Mom ordered the “Fish soup”. While not on the menu, it’s served as a “Special” and is well known among the locals. They accommodated us and prepared it with plenty of fish and a good variety of vegetables. She really enjoyed it.My Sweetie order the Penne special. Her review is separate. She loved it.We ordered one tiramasu because they said “it’s big”. It was “big” and, as a dude in his 50s, I can’t see eating this by myself anymore and maintaining my svelte figure! Haha … it was delish!Service was cheerful. The ladies tried to please.Overall, I was surprised. Generally, I find restaurants outside Toronto are less competitive. They charge more for less. Was that the case here? No! For $30-$40 a plate at a full service restaurant outside Toronto, it seemed reasonable and it was tasty. They tried and did a good job. Can we ask for more?Just one last small request. Warm up the starter bread. “You don’t get a 2ⁿᵈ chance to make a good 1ˢᵗ impression.” Many places don’t. Here’s your chance to “stand out among the crowd”! ?”

“It was mine and my husbands anniversary and our first time at this restaurant. It was amazing service, food and atmosphere. Everyone working was so efficent and super friendly. The food was to die for, honestly can’t wait to eat here again.”

“We went to this place for easter sunday, and yes I gave the atmosphere a 4, only cause its really cramped, but on a beautiful summer day sitting outside would top it.Now with the food, normally I would have a picture to show off the amazing food, but it smelt or good and I just dived into it.The food was incredible and the Röstis they served was amazing, I wish there was more.The service ill quickly touch on. You can can it a proper upscale diner. There is locals and you can tell they remember them. Have zero complaints about the service I have recieve at Ravalee”

“Everything was excellent as far as food preparation and taste and service. The only negative was the payment, where their card machine did not allow the purchaser to put in their own $$ or % for the tip. The machine asked for the 15, 18 or 20% tip on the whole cost, whereas I only give the tip on the value of the meal, without the HST, being calculated into the final price. I know it's a small issue, but the HST is not part of the meal's cost.”

Dishes were well prepared, however there seemed to be a repetitive theme of a bit too much sodium on the savory dishes which over powers the freshness and delicate flavours such as scallop, crab, halibut...The same thing occured with the jus for the lamb and the tenderloin.The maitre d' and rest of staff were on point, presenting the dishes very well with detailed description and enthusiasm.Overall a great experience and with some improvements, will become one of the best dining experiences in the GTA.”
