“We ordered the eggplant lasagna and a chocolate doughnut, and both were excellent. The eggplant lasagna was the standout. It had layers and layers of eggplant, not just a few pieces hiding between the pasta, and the portion felt like great value for only $13. It was rich, filling, and tasted homemade.
The chocolate doughnut was also very good. You could tell it was a proper fresh doughnut rather than something overly processed, and it was nice to find one that did not cost nearly $6.
The only downside is that they are cash only, but there is an ATM inside, so at least they have a backup plan for anyone who arrives carrying nothing but cards and confidence.
Overall, the food tasted fresh, the value was excellent, and the eggplant lasagna alone is worth coming back for. Highly recommend.”

“1 was there on vacation with daughter and grandkids, and visited the restaurant because the food looked delicious, and it was but my grand daughter got sick that evening continuous vomiting and stomach and had to rushed to Urgent care after spending $300 on the meal which wasn't a problem, the wrong order was brought out first I was very disappointed, Don't know if I would visit again( I really don't think the shrimp were cooked correctly.”

“My Dad has been telling me about this place for the better part of a decade and I finally got a chance to try it for myself it was beyond worth the 3 hour drive. Portions are insane prices are equally so. 2.5lbs of pure heaven wrapped in a tortilla well worth the trip. The family folk lore loved up the the legend this is the best burrito I've ever had.

We had a variety of platters, and every single dish was exceptional, with perfect portions, perfectly cooked, beautifully balanced flavours, and everything served hot and fresh. “Ordered wings for the Super Bowl. Arrived on time and were tasty..., however, they came packaged in a foil container with a plastic lid essentially steaming the crispy skin... I had to pop them in my air fryer for a few minutes. Please either poke holes in the plastic lid or use a paper/cardboard takeaway container. Soggy wings are no fun. Still tasty but needs to work on packaging.”

“Sushi-Ya is truly a hidden gem, and I mean that quite literally since it's tucked away and easy to miss if you don't know it's there.

The food was incredibly fresh, the service was warm and attentive, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality. We opted for the customizable bento box option, which allows you to mix and match your selections. Being able to upgrade to add salmon sashimi, if you’re so inclined.

The restaurant also has a cute little patio that's perfect for enjoying a meal on a nice day. Another bonus is the ample street parking nearby that allows you to park for up to 3 hours, making it an easy spot to visit.

My only complaint is the washroom is a bit dingy and scary to get to in the basement, but that’s me being picky! Haha.

If you're looking for fresh sushi, friendly service, and great value, Sushi-Ya is definitely worth checking out. We'll certainly be back!”
