“My favorite winery in Niagara on the lake. It’s not only a beautiful organic farm but the owner is present and so passionate about each wine you’re tasting. He sat down with us the last two times when we were visiting. Love the Chardonnay, rose and sparkling wines offered. Always one of my stops when I’m in the NOTL region. Keep up the great work Southbrook!!“
“Had a great time wine tasting here. This was a random pick because they had a great public tour offer ($25- two for one), and was open till 6 pm unlike most places which close at 5, and they have their restaurant right there.
Andreas was the touring guy, he was very excited to share history about this place, and show us the winery. Glad I picked this place.
This was a different experience than usual wine tasting experience, perfect for history geeks who like to know stories behind everything.

“We visited today for The Ice Wine Festival, Dimitri (from Pig Out) was a great and friendly young man and passionate about what he was presenting to us- roasted pig, which was amazing! Jeff from Reif was also very accommodating with the lovely Ice wine for The Ice wine Festival. With visits like this it makes for a wonderful afternoon! Thank you Guys!“
“What a wonderful event Queenston Mile Vinyards put on last night for their Annual Wreath making. Came out with a group of friends and had a really amazing time. Wil be booking again next year!!! You dont want to miss out on this! There food items are as well delicious, especially there wood oven pizza. Thanks for hosting such a great event!“

“We had a great wine tasting here. Booked via the site for €12/pp (I think it’s now €15/pp?) and we could choose 4 wine samples out of the entire menu. We got a short explanation of what each wine was about from the friendly staff and they even offered us an extra sample of their ice wine to taste at the end. Would definitely recommend this place if you’re in the area and want to try a cosy wine tasting. Maybe book in advance to be sure, but they do allow walk-ins :)“

“I went there for the wine tasting at the end of a tour.
I really enjoyed it. We got to taste white and red wine, as well as icewine. The staff explained a bit about each one and specially about icewine.
The store has a lot of interesting products,I just wished they had a smaller bottle of icewine, so I could take it home on my carry on luggage.“
“In addition to organic wines, they have other items, such as eggs and honey. I was able to get plenty of eggs, but sadly, they were already sold out of honey for the season. Art Reimer was friendly and gave me some recommendations about sights to see in the area.“

“We had the best experience ever at this winery. Julian was our host and spent a lot of time explaining all of the wines to us. He is highly knowledgeable and super friendly. We tried 7 different wines and their Golden Hour sparkling plum wine. Everything was incredible and organic so went down smoothly. We had the pleasure of speaking with owner Vince and found out DeSimone is a home grown family operation. It was a unique experience as they had an interesting gigantic concrete looking egg which was imported from Italy to use in wine making. We would definitely come back to replenish our stock and see what it's like in the summer on the patio with live music and pizza. Thank-you for your hospitality!“
“Great staff and customer service. Staff are very knowledgeable! Stocked up on our favourite wines for Xmas gifts and now their New Sangria’s where do I begin with those, The Sempre sparkling wine is Amazing. Love when you open the door to their establishment you are welcomed with the smell of wine. It’s so familiar feels like you are at home celebrating with your big Italian family and catching up with your relatives. That is my experience .“

“We had a tour yesterday and we thoroughly enjoyed the tour. For some reason none of us remembered our tour guides name but he did a great job explaining the history and showing us around. The ice wine tasting was amazing. We enjoyed having marshmallows around the fire pit. The food I had was tasty.“

“A great winery is defined by the quality of its wines (obviously), but also by its people, and its welcoming space. For the second time this year, we invested our time to visit Strewn, enjoy quality wines, relax in a welcoming environment, and share a friendly chat with Brian - an extraordinary ambassador of the brand, who once again provided exceptional service. Our intentional return visit (today) built upon our summer stop (while cycling in the region) in several ways - an expanded tasting of the range (varietals) of Strewn wines, a refresher on their much-appreciated levels of quality, an investment in a couple of cases to both enjoy now plus cellar for later, and further friendly discussion with Brian who continued to be generous with sharing his passion and knowledge of all things wine-related. We were once again grateful for another delightful Strewn experience, and appreciated that the owners took time out of their busy schedule to greet us and ensure we felt welcome at their winery.“

“I was there yesterday for my birthday with my family. We had an absolute wonderful time. The wine tasting was amazing. The wines are delicious. The staff were all amazing. Special mention to person who did our wine tasting. I believe her name was Cadence and also Tina in the store. But everyone else was wonderful as well. I also love how great the Wheelchair accessible washrooms were. Too often wheelchair access is an afterthought if a thought at all. But the washrooms here were excellent.“

“The tour costs $45 CAD for a 45-minute experience and includes three glasses of wine plus a glass of icewine served inside an ice igloo, which is a unique and memorable highlight. As one of the newer wineries in the area, the tour was informative and well-organized and a great experience overall. If you’re visiting Niagara Falls, it’s definitely worth heading to Niagara-on-the-Lake to try icewine. There are plenty of great wineries around here.“
“When you in Niagara on the Lake the one commodity readily available is wine. What really separates a one winery from another is customer service and the experience provided. Initially my review was not going to be stellar. The bar service was slow and the attitude of some of the bartenders made it seem like we were more of a nuisance rather than a valued patron. We asked to see the manager on duty and that is when we met Joseph. He turned our experience right around and had empathy for what we had experienced. He first apologized for what had happened and then not only made things right but went well beyond are expectations. We will return to Gretzky’s because of Joseph. Let this be a lesson to all wineries in the area, good patrons want an experience. We have options and are happy to move on when our expectations are not met. Thank you Joseph!!!!!“

She knew exactly how to explain each wine that was served to us - and even shared pictures from the event that was held the night before when we asked about the structure that was being disassembled. “Daniela is extremely knowledgeable in history and evolution of wine making and grape growing. We tried the “black glass” taste. Very interesting and original tasting. Wr had a wonderful time even though we scored 1 put of 4. Highly recommend this winery for a unique and informative experience.“
