“I have been a Flat Rock wine club member for many years, and I know some of their most closely-guarded secrets. Here's my favourite two:1) there are usually two hidden waterfalls on the property (except when it's really dry). You are welcome to buy a glass of wine and take it out exploring to find them. (Hint - one is beside the only southward-oriented slope on the 20 Mile Bench. I am also pointing at it with my glass in the first pic. The other is above some giant limestone rocks covered in thick moss near a bridge). Bring a sandwich, the mossy rocks are a great spot for a little picnic.2) there are smallmouth bass in the pond, and you can catch them easily using a bit of hot dog weiner as bait. You might have to compete with a blue heron, a bald eagle, or a cute but fierce muskrat for the best fishing spot, though.BONUS SECRET #3) Nadja's Vineyard (directly to the left of the driveway as you drive in) produces the best Riesling in Ontario. Why? Only 2 acres of 20 year old Weis clone 21B Riesling vines growing on only 1.5 feet of soil just barely covering all that delicious dolomitic limestone AND a gentle gravity flow process that keeps all those resulting complex natural esters, terpines, and phenols intact and inside the wine where they belong! That's why! Don't believe me? TRY IT YOURSELF, IT'S FREAKIN INCREDIBLE!“
“I stopped in for a quick tasting and tried 4 of their wines. I am by no means a connoisseur of wine but I thought they weren’t too bad. The location is super cute, with a nice fireplace to keep it warm in the winter. The service was incredible, the staff there were so friendly and helpful. Overall I would highly recommend checking it out for yourself!!“
“Great experience at the tasting bar with Sherry yesterday! We floated over from our Spa treatments at Inn on the Twenty and Sherry gave us a glass of sparkling wine and the benefit of her wine expertise. Just the right combination of friendly and informative - so much so that we signed up for the Wine Club - thanks Sherry!“
“I could not say enough about Honsberger as our wedding venue. From the drop dead gorgeous setting to the incredible food and of course the amazing people who run it - Honsberger could not be more perfect. Amelia and her team made the day go off seamlessly. (And the number of our guests still talking about the late night pizza and poutine is wild).“

“Stopped in at 13th Street today, to pick up their delicious butter tarts. Grabbed them, along with this mini carrot cake. WOW - this little cake is amazing. The cake was moist and full of flavour and the cream cheese icing was a 10/10. Want some amazing baking. Stop in at 13th Street. A niagara gem.“
“Jackson-Triggs' Cabernet Franc Icewine used to be the industry's best. Not anymore. I'm sitting in JT winery right now writing this, and I can say with certainty that Alvento's Cab Franc Icewine kicks it out of the park.Inhale the bouquet, you would swear you were sticking your nose into a bowl of strawberries, with some rhubarb on the side. Absolutely superb! Could be the best Cab Franc Icewine in the world! Highly recommended by Dr. Piton, big wall wine aficionado.“
“Having been to other wineries in the Cherry Avenue area of Vineland, I'm surprised it took us so long to get to Ridgepoint.I'm certainly glad we finally did today. A spacious, welcoming tasting room is a great setting for sampling their excellent wines. Much of the focus at Ridgepoint is on Italian varieties of grapes (Nebbiolo, for example) and Italian styles of wine (ripasso, appassimento), which all delighted my partner. They have a small selection of white wines (more to my liking) with the 2020 Reisling being very good and, again, with the Italian influence, a sparkling prosecco style wine. Table series flight fee (currently $15) is waived with a purchase of $45 (at present), and the Premium series fee ($25) is waived with a purchase of $75.The staff we met today were very friendly and passionate about wine.I'm looking forward to a return visit (when the dining room is open!)It's worth a trip to Vineland!“

“Came across this scenic beautiful winery by chance and it was such a beautiful experience. The setting is just gorgeous. The outdoor seating is stunning with amazing live music playing. We had a couple of glasses of wine but no food. Would highly recommend a visit here. See attached photos.“

“Mar2024: wonderful small winery with excellent hostess (shout out to Nina!).Wines are above average, though the selection of reds is limited, which is to be expected for a small vineyard/winery. They do however have numerous fine white wines and ice wines.Pricing is fair. The only thing stopping me from rating as 5-star is the lack of food (other than a few bagged snacks).“
“A great experience was had this oast weekend’s wine tasting. Excellent food pairings with Irish fare that included potato leek soup, cabbage latke/pancakes, and brazed beef. Serving staff were excellent, highly recommend a visit if you’re in the area.“
“So many wineries focus on what others are doing and how they are doing it. Rosewood does its own things its own way. If you like creative genius, you'll love Rosewood. If you like what everyone else is doing in the rat race to produce the latest example of a typical wine, you might not "get" Rosewood. On the other hand, if you let go of the conformity you've been trained to expect, Rosewood will let you discover the joy of fearless originality. You will not, for example, find another Sauvignon Blanc like Rosewood Sauvignon Blanc. Everyone else's is way over on one side. Rosewood's is way over on its own side, merrily treating us to DIFFERENT... and unabashedly beautiful in its own free spirited exuberance.“
“This place is awesome! I used to buy wine from a whole seller over $10 dollars per bottle. Now I order/prepare wine here for less than $4 /bottle. if you drink wine weekly or daily , or you are organize an event it can save you lots. Excellent Customer service from Rafael and Glendys. “Of all the wineries in Niagara, Black Bank Hill should be at the top of your list. This hidden gem offers a unique and intimate experience with one-on-one wine tastings of their fantastic wines. The owner, Taylor, is so passionate about their wines and the entire process and it shows through their product. You absolutely have to try their 2021 Estate Viogner and 2020 Syrah. Both offer such a distinct flavour that is unlike any other wine in the region. Don’t miss out on this winery.“
“We had the best experience visiting Organized Crime today for a tasting. We had Jill help us out and she was so amazing - stayed and talked us through everything, we learned so much about the wine and winery. It truly was an amazing experience because of Jill. The wine was also amazing, which was only expected because of the many awards they have won. Organized Crime has won itself as one of my favourite wineries now, and I would highly recommend the visit!“
“Always a delight when we get to visit this beautiful vineyard and winery. The service is one of a kind, truly unique and a gem of Beamsville. Hadn’t been since the new patio during the pandemic, the amazing new update to the tasting area is incredible. I cannot recommend visiting this winery upon your wine adventure in Niagara. “Awesome winery, great facility and area - came here to taste ice wine as part of the discovery pass. They had their standard ice wine for choice, with plenty of options for food pairings - you can spread it out easily if you're here as a couple or group. Very interesting combinations, especially the jalapeno ice wine and the deep fried ice cream.“
