“My husband and I enjoyed a wine tasting. We also had a charcuterie board. The wines were very good. We purchased 2 of the reds. We also bought some cheese that we had on the charcuterie. It is a very quaint European feeling winery. it was very enjoyable“
“My wife arranged a white label tasting while we were in NOTL, and we had visited the winery 6 years ago but with a large group so this was much better not being rushed. The tasting was very good and the host is very knowledgeable so you won’t be bored. She seemed to love the winery and everything about wine and we give her a 10 out of 10. We liked most of the wines but the ones presented I think need to cellar a bit but they were still outstanding. I would highly recommend the tasting as you will not be disappointed.“
“Recently visited for a tasting with some family, and our host (Tyra I believe) was simply AWESOME! She was quite knowledgeable, super pleasant and friendly. I specifically wanted to go here because they have wine, beer, cider and spirits. My brother and his wife purchased a case of white and it is MUCH cheaper than the neighbouring local wineries, AND they got a discount for purchasing a case.I would have given 5*s, but I'm from Belleville and am used to the MUCH cheaper tasting prices at the Prince Edward County wineries. 4 tastings for $20 or 4 for $25 of the higher end choices seems ridiculous to me, instead of $2 each.“
“Inniskillin was apart of our sparkle festival tour. It was lovely. We got vegetarian + beef sliders for the feature with their sparkle brut. I found the food to be good, I liked the slider. The brut was 3/5, I found it sweet and not bubbly enough. Service was not the best, we were seated comfortably, but (since we were a large group) if someone went to the bathroom, staff would ask if we were done with the chairs. It made us feel rushed to get out of there.I would love to return for a proper tasting outside of the festival!“
“When I first discovered Lailey, it was at a local B&B hotel's happy hour. The winemaker walked me through an impromptu tasting of sorts, which prompted us to visit the winery itself, where I was given a more full tasting experience.I have been back a number of times - and even though it has changed hands over the years, the quality and friendliness of folks at this establishment has always been top-notch.It also helps that the wines are fantastic. I don't think I have ever purchased a bottle from here that I didn't like.When you're in Niagara-On-the-Lake, make sure to stop by and have a tasting - you won't regret it.“

“We tried the wine tasting of 4 choices and they were very good. Personally I loved the Cabernet Franc red ice wine ($99 for 3 sale going on right now when a bottle could be easily $50 to $100 each or more) which was Uber sweet and so good and so smooth. It was really a great experience and a nice atmosphere with 80s music and indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of parking. They sell chocolate, sauces, jams, cheese, cured meats, chips, wine seltzers, and cute gadgets and magnets. The manager Vince was so gracious and friendly and because of him we bought wines to take home to the US. And the ice wines are great too! Try it.“

“We visited during our eclipse trip. Four of us rented the dome and after the trip, it was one of the best experiences of the entire trip. Alex was our host and did a spectacular job. “My professional opinion: this is the best winery in Canada, possibly even North America. Truly compelling wine that will transfix and haunt you. Big Head is a leader in innovation and consistently produces extremely high quality product. Also, the proprietor, Andrzej Lipinski, has one of the most inspiring origin stories of how he got into winemaking that I have ever heard. Plus, he is often the one serving you behind the tasting bar!They charge fair prices for bottles and tasting, considering the very high value of the extremely limited amount of wine they produce.The best will never be cheap, or free, or have "spices added to the wine" (I cannot stop laughing at the previous poster's ridiculous comment).The best will expect you to make a reservation for a seated tasting, and the best will expect you to show up more than 10 minutes before closing to experience a proper tasting. These things are standard even at mediocre wineries in the area.If you are willing to leave your sense of self-entitlement at the door, and maybe not show up here disrespectfully drunk after being overserved at the previous 8 wineries that you have been to that day, you will have a mind-blowing experience here that will change the very way you think about wine.“
“We were travelling as a group of 10, and this was our first visit to Queenston mile for everyone in the group. Joe guided our tour. He was personable, funny, warm. He did make our first visit to Queenston very enjoyable. They did have a set flight of four lines for us to sample. But Joe was flexible and did allow a few samples of blinds that were not part of the tasting. As with most lines, somewhere, somewhere not to our liking. But by going off script a little bit, he did manage to sell a couple of bottles of the Viognier. I can recommend that to anyone who Likes that varietal of wine. Theirs is very good. Overall, it was an excellent stop on our day of touring. No doubt we will be back to enjoy the outdoor vistas in the warmer weather.“
“I discovered Marynissen in 2014 with receiving “Bottoms Up” at a dinner. I loved it because it had sediments and it was the best bottle of wine I ever had, before it was found in LCBO. Wow, I can’t believe I have been drinking your wine for 10 years and feel a bit old typing this now.Joining the book club in 2024 has been a new year resolution and connecting with great people today at the first get together meant so much to me. I want to be 90 one day and share my story of how I came across this beautiful place while toasting “Bottom’s Up”! “Fun, small,organic, family run vineyard and working farm? I'm in!! For as small as they are, the lineup of wines is much broader than you might expect. We thought, oh, maybe three or four wines. Ha! Plan on coming back, because you're going to want to try them all.There are plenty of familiar faces (chardonnay, reisling (dry!), merlot, cabernet franc, gamay, blends, icewine. But one of the joys of visiting a small winery is the chance to taste novel bottles from the winemaker that you won't find anywhere else. Love Child, for example, is simply a treat. A little more sugar than we drink normally, but this is something special - and unique. You have to come and try it all and choose your own favorites, but I'd be surprised if many people walk away empty handed. (even West Coasty wine snobs like us, haha!!)Keep up the great work everyone, and keep right on experimenting! We love your creative spirit!“

“This is my first experience with wine tasting, and it was so great. The guy who assisted us is named Herb. He is such a nice and lovely guy. He explains about wine very carefully and with passion. Overall, I like the Vidal Icewine. Besides, Canada is well known for its ice wine as well. That is why I am curious to try this ice wine. Vidal Icewine from Reif Estate Winery has won the gold medal in the international ice wine competition for the last few years (I forgot how many years, but 2024 for sure).“
“Great spot! Was originally called Small Talk Vineyards and just this July 2022 it has been sold and being renamed. No official sign, but everything says "Shiny Apple Cider". The staff is very friendly and helpful. We each got a flight if the different types of cider. They were all really good! My favorite was the watermelon mint Cider. Lots of space to park and sit down outside to enjoy your cider.“

The service very good, with just the right amount of attention without interrupting the enjoyment of our evening.The food was great, we started with polenta, crispy on the outside and melt in you mouth soft on the inside and the grilled octopus was one of my fav dishes of the night.For our mains, the lamb was cooked to perfection and a nice size serving. The ravioli was also very nice, cooked perfect with a very homade feel.Our deserts were the topper to the dinner, I would highly recommend the cannoli.Overall we had a great meal and a fun evening.“
