“I have tried almost fifty wineries in the Okanagan, and decided to try five wineries in Niagara on my way home from Europe and Morocco.

I thought the tasting contraption was really neat.

Out of the five wineries I visited (the others being Innis, Nissen, Jackson, and Stone Eagle) this was by far the busiest. However, Olivia made time to have my tasting right away and talked about each of the wines.

Despite being a solo customer, I was encouraged to stick around and pose for pictures.

I shall recommend this winery to my friends.

The Vidal Ice Wine is a must try.

“We had the best experience ever at this winery. Julian was our host and spent a lot of time explaining all of the wines to us. He is highly knowledgeable and super friendly. We tried 7 different wines and their Golden Hour sparkling plum wine. Everything was incredible and organic so went down smoothly. We had the pleasure of speaking with owner Vince and found out DeSimone is a home grown family operation. It was a unique experience as they had an interesting gigantic concrete looking egg which was imported from Italy to use in wine making. “We popped in as one of our sip and sizzle stops and it was fabulous. Tom served us, and was very personable, knowledgeable and provided an excellent experience. The goat cheese tart was incredible and I loved the sauv blanc it was paired with, and will pick up a bottle next time I’m there. I was able to try the rose, and it was one of my favourite roses I’ve had in a while, so I grabbed a bottle. I also grabbed 3 red wines for my dad who loves Strewn wines, due to the quality and flavour profiles. We will definitely be back!“

“Great staff and customer service. Staff are very knowledgeable! Stocked up on our favourite wines for Xmas gifts and now their New Sangria’s where do I begin with those, The Sempre sparkling wine is Amazing. Love when you open the door to their establishment you are welcomed with the smell of wine. It’s so familiar feels like you are at home celebrating with your big Italian family and catching up with your relatives. That is my experience .“

We indicated we'd have our tasting down outside since the weather was nice and we were told to take it out ourselves, which we did. Strangely, we noticed a server taking wines outside to other customers. Appeared to have different rules for different folk?

“We were a group of girls celebrating a bachelorette. Upon sitting, received complimentary bubbly. It tasted amazing. Our server Danny was wonderful and explained each dish before we ordered. We had the Hen, fish, lamb and mushroom for entrees. All were amazing. Highly recommend to get the lamb. Our apps were asparagus and broccoli. The broccoli was our fav. We also tried the brioche- highly recommend! We ended with the chocolate mousse and some espresso for the table. Overall a wonderful experience and beautiful patio. Will be back again! “I live in Vernon in the Okanagan. I have visited almost fifty wineries in the Okanagan.

After visiting my 81st country, Morocco, I opted to stop in Niagara for a day trip before heading home to the Okanagan.

Jackson Triggs here in Niagara was the original location.

They opened the front door while I was filming a video of myself.

The pinot noir here in the tasting exceeded my expectations as I don't like pinot noir typically.

I spent $25 for a tasting of 4 wines. It's a bit on the pricey side. I wish there was a dessert or ice wine in the tasting.

I enjoyed exploring the winery.

Overall I had a great experience here. I do prefer the Okanagan location a bit more, though. That is hometown bias.“
