About Pizza Maru

Pizza Maru is a restaurant that has garnered praise from its customers. The garlic bread crust in their pizza is a standout feature that sets them apart. Vegetarian options include the Veggie pizza, Kaboom cheese pizza, and Holy honey sweet potato pizza.

Customers appreciate the restaurant's efficiency, with orders being hot and ready. The signature pizza is a must-try. While parking can be limited, customers enjoy the fresh ingredients used in the specialty pizzas, finding them worth the price.

The pizzas are described as quite heavy, with a generous amount of cheese. Customers particularly enjoyed the Golden honey potato and Shrimbul pizzas, which have loud, big flavours, a creamy and tangy sweet ranch sauce, and an excellent cheese pull. The Kaboom Cheese did not have enough sauce and tasted a lot like cheese/garlic bread. The classic Pepperoni was less impressive.

In addition to their pizzas, customers have tried the Honey Fries, which are crispy and sweet, and the Chili Toppoki, praised for its slow-building spice and satisfying chew. The Real Chicago Pizza was noted for being super cheesy. The cheese balls were also mentioned as crunchy and chewy. The original katsu had the perfect crunch with a rich, nutty peanut sauce. Overall, many recommend visiting Pizza Maru for its delicious, full-flavoured offerings and great service.

Nice spot for a date night

The decor inside is great for ambience

Food tastes great too

Yummy pizza- like that they have half and half option!

We tried both the bulgogi and kaboom pizza and they were solid pies. We opted this time not to go with the cream cheese crust which was a better option as it limited the sweetness of the overall dish and was a better balance of flavor. The green tea dough was solid on its own. The kaboom, while heavy, was super cheesy and we got great cheese pulls out of it and crispy cheese on the crust.
