Disappointed with their cake & service. Never answered/returned my calls/emails to rectify the poor quality of the cake. This was at the Richmond location
I usually purchased cakes and baked goods from them. Last time I bought a birthday cake from them and found a hair inside, so I sent the email to customer service regarding this matter. They did not respond. I guess they don’t care about their customers. I will not buy from them in the future and tell all my friends don’t buy from them.

Based on customer reviews, Saint Germain Bakery (Fairview) is an awesome bakery that tends not to be too expensive. The cakes are not too sweet but are delicious, with unique flavors like grapefruit mango, black sesame, and rose cakes. Drinks are also good price, including cheap coffee and unique flavored lattes. The location is nicely set up with a bright display case and offers a large selection of Chinese buns, Swiss rolls, cakes, cookies, and sandwiches. Service is generally quick. The staff were very accommodating for a preorder of a mocha cake, which was very moist and on the less sweet side. A seasonal fresh mango cake is also worth trying. However, the Fairview branch does not have the same items as other branches; for example, they never had the passion fruit juice available at the CF Markville branch. Aside from that, the rest of the food was as good as always. A tip for budget shoppers is that day-old baked goods are sold in paper bags at the back of the store for $5.
