“Really complicated menu, it took me about 10 minutes to figure out how to order my meal, got myself the burger pizza. the pizza was fire - their “bacon” tasted like pepperoni not sure why, extra saucy and very little amount of burger toppings.

Don’t recommend anyone to dine in because the place inside is burning like a furnace and its very small.“

“Last night, I had the pleasure of arranging a dinner for my former colleagues from Unilever Pakistan. There were about 40 of us, and I’ve had the privilege of organizing these gatherings for a few years now, each time at a different restaurant. This time, we met at Charsi Karhai, and I have to say, it was truly one of the best experiences we've had. This isn’t just my opinion; everyone who attended had glowing feedback. Here’s why: • Prayer arrangements: Since our dinner was scheduled for 7 pm, around maghrib, many of us wanted to offer prayers. The restaurant already had a decent arrangement in place, which was very thoughtful. • Personalized menu: Gill, the restaurant manager, coordinated with me to fine-tune the menu to our liking. We went back and forth with texts and calls to ensure everything was just right, and I really appreciated the effort. Both Gill and his team member, Bipsha, were extremely helpful throughout. • Private space: Half of the restaurant was allocated to us with a partition set up. This allowed us to have our own space, which gave everyone the chance to mingle freely. It was such a refreshing change from our usual restaurant experiences, where we’d end up seated at separate tables with limited interaction. • Delicious food: The food, as always, was outstanding. We ordered Chicken Karhai, Goat Karhai, Tawa Keema, Bihari Kebab, and Palak Daal. Midway through dinner, Gill suggested adding Kheer for dessert, which was a hit with everyone. We also included tea, which wasn’t in our original plan, but it made the evening even better. • Buffet style: The food was served buffet-style, which made everything so much smoother. There was no clutter on the tables, and everyone could help themselves, ensuring nothing went to waste. It also encouraged people to move around and connect with others, which really added to the warm and social atmosphere. • Excellent service: The service was top-notch. Bipsha and the team were very professional and patient, especially considering the size of our group. • Reasonable prices: The food was priced quite reasonably, especially considering all the extra touches that made the evening so special. • Personal touch: During the dinner, the restaurant owner, Jamshed, came by to check on us. He personally spoke with me to ensure everything was going smoothly and asked if there was anything else they could do to enhance our experience. It was a lovely gesture. One thing I discovered about Charsi Karhai is that they offer a customizable buffet for larger groups, which is quite unique compared to other restaurants. You get to choose the dishes you want rather than sticking to a fixed menu, which I thought was a great option. I know this may sound like I’m promoting Charsi Karhai, but I genuinely mean every word. From the moment we stepped in, the restaurant greeted us with a festive, vibrant atmosphere that reflected the passion and dedication behind this new establishment. The ambiance was lively yet comfortable, making it an ideal place to enjoy a relaxed and memorable meal.

The hospitality deserves special mention. The staff were warm, polite, and genuinely attentive. Even during the excitement and rush, the service remained smooth and well-managed, ensuring guests felt welcomed and cared for throughout the visit.

The food was undoubtedly the highlight of our experience. We started with the Potli Samosa, which was crisp on the outside and generously filled with well-seasoned, flavorful stuffing, making for a perfect appetizer.

We then enjoyed the iconic Hyderabadi Haleem, which was rich, slow-cooked, and incredibly comforting, with deep, authentic flavors that reflected traditional preparation.

Next came the ever-popular Chicken 65, served alongside fresh and soft roti, and it was outstanding. The chicken was juicy, perfectly spiced, and beautifully balanced—crispy on the outside and tender inside. It made for a delicious and satisfying combination.

The highlight of the meal was the Hyderabadi Mutton Dum Biryani. The aroma was irresistible, and every bite lived up to expectations. The mutton was melt-in-the-mouth tender, while the fragrant rice was layered with traditional dum spices, delivering an authentic and unforgettable biryani experience.

To end the meal on a sweet note, we were served Zafrani Kheer, which was rich, delicately sweet, and infused with saffron—an elegant and comforting dessert. The experience was perfectly rounded off with Irani Chai, strong, aromatic, and nostalgic, tying the entire meal together beautifully.

Overall, Chulla Express has set a high benchmark for authentic Hyderabadi cuisine in Mississauga. From the quality and authenticity of the food to the warm hospitality and attention to detail, everything was thoughtfully executed. This place is a must-visit for anyone who loves genuine Hyderabadi flavors.

We have visited Chulla Express, several times now, and each visit has been nothing short of exceptional. Over multiple visits, we have had the opportunity to taste almost all the dishes on their menu (as seen on the menu card), and the quality, authenticity, and consistency have been truly impressive every single time.
