“The absolute worst customer service I have EVER experienced. Inadequately trained servers, the "manager" definitely could use some serious customer service training AND training with the payment system as he struggled with processing our bill. The food was served cold. We order a Chicken BLT wrap just before our meal ended To-Go and after waiting over 50 minutes for our takeout, we were told the takeout was busy with takeout orders for customers?? excuse me?? what are we?? We had just ordered 2 bar drinks, an appetizer and 2 main entres, so I guess we are not a customer. Unbelievable!! And then the manager proceeded to be combative with us when we began to rightfully complain. No apologies, no discount, nada! No surprise this place has a low rating...THEY'VE EARNED IT! 👎“

“The Gryphon Pub is a wonderful gem in Whitby! My friends have been suggesting this place so I came here for dinner with my husband recently and we absolutely loved it. The service here is incredible as our waitress was very attentive, friendly and quick. She made some great recommendations and took the time to answer any questions.

As for the food, we shared the bruschetta flatbread and it was very good! The veggies were fresh, I would highly recommend. For our entrée, I had the ribs and my husband had the new york steak. The portions were great and everything was so delicious! The steak was cooked perfectly and the mashed potatoes were my favourite, so good! My husband really loved the ribs too. There was plenty to share and have leftovers. It was only $5 more to get a full rack compared to the half, such a great deal! They have such an extensive menu with something for everyone along with plenty drink options. My husband loved that they have local craft on tap and his beer came ice cold. There are many specials going on throughout the week, will definitely be back on a Friday night for their $18 steak dinner. This was some of the most quality food I have ever had at a pub, a solid 10/10!

You can tell this place is loved by locals! Great food, specials, drinks and atmosphere here. They had good music going and great vibes inside. The owner seemed very friendly and genuine. The staff are all so kind and helpful. You can tell a lot of care has been put into this place. We love supporting small business and lucky for us the Gryphon Pub has just become our new go to. You definitely need to come here!“

“Michelle's is a great place to bring your friends, play some pool and have some great food. Food is available for takeout for anyone interested in picking up. It is always filled with patrons of all ages. Even has a semi-separate party room to host small events. Totally worth checking out!!“

“Was in this evening with my wife trying to enjoy a date night. It would have been a lovely evening except for the unruly, screaming, annoying children at a booth on their own while all the parents sat at another table ignoring them. The manager did nothing to address this behaviour and actually seemed to just ignore it. Our wait staff was also annoyed by the children’s behaviour. No one wants to be in a pub listening to annoying children when the manager and parents choose to just ignore it. Do not bother attending here if you don’t want a chuck e cheese atmosphere.“
