“Came on a Saturday night with my family. Our server was quick, attentive and very helpful. I had their spicy wings with a side of some very tasty homestyle fries. I also tried a bite of the steak sandwich, and really enjoyed that as well. My family also all enjoyed their meals. Overall a very good experience, and definitely will be coming back!“

“We arrived with a moderate size group of 5. We were seated in the quieter dinner area where we were able to talk with each other. It had a nice atmosphere. The server was friendly and attentive. I'm not a big fan of pub food but I was pleased with the taste of my turkey burger and the freshness of the toppings. The curry chicken was also enjoyed by others in the group.Vegetarian options: The fact that they had a vegetarian option was great for accommodating the one vegetarian in our group.“

“Saturday morning brunch with my 7yo son and we were the only ones in the place at first.Server was friendly and awesome to talk to. The Boy loved his chocolate chip pancakes and my French Toast platter very good.Best part was atmosphere. Someone threw on their 90s hip hop and r&b playlist and all the tables were chair-dancing along with their lively conversations (several other tables had arrived throughout brunch). Even Boy was enjoying the music and friendly staff!Great all around.Kid-friendliness: Older mansion (duh!) and definitely more Pub than anything, but decent kids menu and crayons available for their entertainment.Wheelchair accessibility: Probably their one downfall...older house and the bathrooms weren in the basement. Pretty sure this one isn't high on an accessibility list, unfortunately.“

“So I’ve been here before and the experience was absolutely great on every angle I can think of and they offer great quality to portion to price value. So on the way to Toronto this week I decided to call before arriving to confirm that they sell French onion soup as I had an “ten” for it. To the owner/manager Ron, said of course and it’s home made delicious and cheesy too. So off the highway I went thanks to GPS and was greeted like a welcome relative visiting the family. And within 7 minutes the bowl of piping hot French onion soup was on the table and off I went. I had just had this at the Keg the other day and it was delicious and I can’t believe it, but Jake’s is light years better. The cheese they use, the amazing caramelized onions, the broth - the whole thing is awesome. And it’s not $12 to $15 like in most restaurants. All I can say is this, the deal of the year is to stop off and take a little “me time” and sit by the fireplace and warm yourself up with a nice home made cheesy delicious onion soup and you you thank yourself for doing so.Thanks to the team at Jake’s for treating me so well as a second time patron and a lifelong customer from Thai point onwards I’m always stopping by for a bit or just that amazing soup.Vegetarian options: Yes. Just ask.“

“$150 min charge for a room for 6 on a Saturday night. Not bad at all.Karaoke is a little difficult to navigate if you dont read/write chinese. Song selection via phone only works with their app but even so, error message kept on showing up. But overall, not bad if u just wna drink and sing your heart out!“

“I am surprised it has taken me so long to write a review of The Fox because it's practically a Sunday ritual to enjoy their $17.99 burger and pint special. I have never seen a better pub value than that. For an extra dollar or two, you can upgrade the special to any of their other burgers and I tend to oscillate between the Peppercorn Burger (swiss cheese and big onion ring) and the Montrealer (cheddar cheese, mushrooms, and BBQ sauce). I think I might change my burger choice to remain slightly mysterious and unpredictable to the attentive staff, especially Glenn the bartender who always drops by to say hello. If you like sports, screens are throughout the bar with a wall sized projector on the south side. The selection of beers should satisfy everyone. I'm an IPA person and I've got the choice of Goose Island or Mill Street. Or both :)While Sundays are surely my favourite day, there are specials throughout the week. Mondays trades the burger and pint special for a steak and pint at ten bucks more but it's a generous steak. Wednesdays are second to Sundays because it usually means a substantial fried chicken breast sandwich (please bring back the verision with crispy onions!)The Fox is the definition of a neighbourhood pub. Cozy and you always feel welcome. There is no shortage of pubs in the area but we always go back to the Fox. I say that with a big of sadness because in a few years, the commercial area will be torn down to make way for a large condo development. The Fox has a sister pub in Scarbourough called the Black Dog. Perhaps someday, it will become the new Sunday place.Parking: there is ample parking in the front and back of the pub“

“This pub is a gem and full of life for those who want a place to get feel good vibes and a fun atmosphere! I went on a friday night and they had a live dj playing all sorts of music from country to latin to some soft rock, but what made it even more enjoyable was the patrons who got up and danced the night away. The food was actually amazing and the staff was friendly. I would have given a full 5 stars, but the volume of the dj music was a bit too loud for my liking, which made it difficult to talk over. All in all, it's a great place to take friends to let loose! The more the merrier! Cheers ?“
